Buffet was well stocked. No wait time, clean bathrooms and somewhat large selection. Had separate spots for sushi and ring bell for service Mongolian. Dessert was a little limited but overall I would recommend

Nice server, but that’s about the only positive thing to say about the experience. The food was literally the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. 10/10 would not recommend this buffet as it didn’t even meet the low expectations I had. For $17 per person, I expected to at least have edible food. Praying 🙏 I don’t get food poisoning!

Like most buffet establishments, there are many food cuisine selections to pick from, with the main focus being oriental dishes. There is a chocolate fountain, individual size frozen ice cream cups, & several delectable deserts to pick from. The atmosphere is pleasant, & employees are attentive to your needs. Pricing falls in line with other buffet establishments in Boise. This is one of my favorite choices for buffet style dining!

It was a treat to try out a new Chinese restaurant. The food was very tasty and good. Lots of varieties to choose from the hot entrees, soups , sushi bar, salad/fruit and dessert bar with the chocolate fountain ⛲️is beautiful. We will be back again soon!

There was little to no wait time and the food was great but some of the fruit tasted a little off but overall I think that it was rely good.

It's OK. Nothing special here. Food was mediocre. Been to a few different Chinese buffets and this one was a 5 out 10 at best.

This place is ok, it’s the best buffet in town but it has some issues, first sometimes food would be sitting for long time and it wouldn’t taste like it was fresh, Crab legs are very very very limited, they would put 1 pound of crab legs every couple hours, theres no stake of any kind, the one in caldwell has stake and it’s delicious, 3 stars is the maximum i would give this place, FYI I have been in this place over 300 times in the last 12 years

I’m already not really a fan of city buffet and haven’t really ever been a fan. There’s only three or four items that I actually like and the majority of the food is just not that great. My kids like it tho.

I had been going there every once in a while because my twin boys that are 11 like to eat there.

Right now it’s Sunday the 14th.
Yesterday I took my kids there for early dinner, which is to say around 2 to 2:30. I usually Let them know that I’m military and they put 10% off my bill. I forgot to do that yesterday.
The bill came to $48 and change.

Today before 2 I took my kids there and they always ask age so I told them age and I said I’m military. When the bill was brought, I noticed that it was $58 and change…
The lady was looking at me concerned because I was inspecting the bill (no military discount) and I said military I handed it back to her showed her my ID she left and I went to the front to meet her so that my kids and I could pay and leave and when I got it back, it was $60 and change even though it showed the 10% discount this time.
(The lady also laughed when she was walking away and as we were walking up For me to find out why the bill was higher, I didn’t find out until later, but my oldest was a few seconds behind us and she apparently asked him if he was OK. I have no idea why and he didn’t seem upset so I didn’t bother to go find out.)
Not only did the bill go up two dollars after me telling the lady and showing proof that I am a veteran but it’s also about $12 more than it was the previous day.

The bill has always been just under $50 with just myself and my twin boys. When I asked why it was $48 yesterday and 60 today… I was told because my kids were charged as adults. I’m not going to argue especially over $12 so I said ok wrote the total of my bill in total, sign my name and we left.

They always ask and I always tell them the correct ages and for some reason this time not only do they add an extra two dollars onto my bill after being told that I’m military but it’s over $10 more expensive than it usually ever is and both times we went before the more expensive dinner time.

Needless to say, I will not be going back to this location (Fairview in Milwaukee), If I even take my kids to city buffet again, seeing as how the food is really not very good.
I will absolutely start going to Golden corral or almost anywhere else so that I don’t have to deal with this again.

I gave three stars because my kids were still happy and full when we left and the only issue was the price difference.
