Overall decent option for a quick meal, staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. Paying extra for salsa was a kinda annoying.

I got a Baja Bowl and it was awful. The salsa had a weird taste that made it almost inedible and the bowl had runny mush in it. If you're going to get inauthentic mexican food somewhere, just go to Chipotle.

They don't have any attention to detail on mobile orders for pickup or delivery.
Forgot sides added things to meal I didn't ask for.

I was alerted that my blood sugar was extremely low. I asked to use the restroom. There are no nearby restrooms open for several blocks. The black haired hostess with lots of glittery eyeliner and makeup smirked, grinned, and said no I can not. Very, very, rude
. I ended up so extremely ill , I had to call 911 for an ambulance, as I have several health conditions. All I needed was 3 minutes to administer meds in a safe clean environment
I hope she gets fired because, literally I would never eat here after the a day I was treated so inhumanely.
Been coming here occasionally for a bit and it's decent. Good food, usually good service for most things. They are big sticklers on their restrooms FYI, which is fine if a but annoying asking for keys. The biggest issue...I accidentally dropped some sauce for my salad on the tray and went to ask for a replacement....they wanted to charge me! Just insane that a replacement sauce is worth more than customer satisfaction to these folks. Suffice it to say, my last visit here unless necessary.

I’m not sure what makes this food Mexican other than the kind Mexicans making the food. Where is the seasoning? The flavor? I got pico no gallo. I’m sad. I mean the cheese had some salt on it but that’s about it. Idk who prepared this food but they need a hug.

We live out in Kuna but insist on driving all the way out to this Costa Vida because of how exceptional the service always seems to be! My wife and I ask for a lot of modifications to our food and the staff always accommodate with a smile! Today was exceptionally awesome because of Travis and Marley. Travis, Miles, Audrey went above and beyond to make sure what we wanted for our meals was achieved, which is appreciated so much! When we got to checkout a kind old lady was two dollars short for her meal, we offered to cover her ourselves but before we could Marley came up and handed over cash to cover it. It was heartwarming to see a teenage employee help another without any hesitation like that! Will always commute to this costa vida because of the amazing employees like them!

They really scrimp on the meat, and the honey butter shrimp is not worth your money.

Restaurantji Recommends
This Costa Vida graciously hosted our school group while we were in Boise. The food was great and the service was amazing. We were greeted by smiling employees eager to help us. The food was delicious and the portions are always generous here. I recommend this restaurant if you are ever in town. They care about the students in our community and they care about serving up delicious food.

Imagine this: you are visiting Idaho from a different state and you are enjoying walking around the downtown area, you got brunch and bought some potato souvenirs, then hits you: you need to go to the bathroom ASAP. It’s an emergency. You don’t know where the public restrooms are and you don’t have time to search all over. You look around. You see Costa Vida and see that it is completely empty inside but they do have a restroom. You walk in and make a beeline for the bathroom door but it’s locked. The cashiers just watched you struggle. Then finally they snicker at you and tell you that you have yo buy something to use the facilities and then they will give you the key. You’re sweating now and humiliated. You buy a cookie and they give you the key and you waddle all the way back to the restroom abs blow it up. You never eat the cookie. You never go back to this restaurant because of the way they treated you.

Literally empty restaurant and they wouldn’t let us use the restroom without buying a cookie…just not a welcoming experience and generally rude staff. Never eaten here and really don’t plan on it after my experience today.
