“My husband and in laws and I stopped for lunch. My husband ordered the liver and onions and said it was delicious. Generous portion of yummy mashed potatoes and liver and onions were cooked to perfection according to him. ( I don't like liver and onions no matter how they are cooked.) My mother-in-law and I had the soup of the day, lentil and ham soup. It was the best lentil soup I have ever had. I could have eaten two bowls of it. My father-in-law had breakfast combo eggs, lots of hash browns, a hunk of ham, 2 slices of bacon and 2 sausages. We also had a very moist and tasty brownie with ice cream and a very good piece of cherry pie ala mode. All of this food came to only $61!!
We are wishing we didn't live over 300 miles away from Candy's.“

“They had a drink special for a $2 shot of vodka and added it to some margarita mixer for me... delicious, especially after I added an extra shot! Lol... The waitress was very friendly and prompt and the loaded fries with carne asada were too good... I was tempted to order another plate! The other menu items were a little more than I was willing to pay so I can't say much about them. Also, this is an excellent place to watch the game, with at least seven big screens, all showing something different.“

“I absolutely adore both of the Sunshine Spice locations. But this location in downtown Boise is utterly charming! We fell in love with the sweet nook in the window. The atmosphere of the cafe is calm and is the perfect spot if you're on you're own and want to treat yourself or if you want a fun first date. It would be wonderful for a good time with friends and family as well, though I probably wouldn't take super young children there, but I will let you use your own judgement on that.
The baked goods and especially the cardamom coffee are divine. I have never had a single thing at Sunshine Spice that I didn't love. Their items are made with loving care and attention to detail. You don't have to take just my word for it either, they are James Beard Award nominees.
I adore their baklava, Turkish coffee, raspberry tart, and their chocolate/hazelnut choux with craquelin. (If you want a fuller review you can check out what I wrote about their other location on Fairview Avenue.)“
