We went in yesterday for the "birthday in April" free pizza deal and didn't even get the free pizza. They even verified his birthday. They didn't give us a receipt so that we wouldn't confirm. I pulled up their website and saw the prices we paid were not on sale. We will not be returning.
I got food from this location for the first time, I like the pizza, it’s one of the rare places that offers sourdough crust! We love it!
They had accidentally made our breadsticks out of regular crust and one of the workers caught the mistake and remade it before I got there to pick it up.

We are long time flying pie patrons but haven't been into the state street location in awhile. It was my husband's name day so we were excited to try it. They sprinkled our pizza with so much red pepper it was in edible. It was such a bummer!

Wow! This pizza is fantastic! We bought a lot of pizza for a group and the employees were super helpful! Thank you!
I enjoyed their house beer while waiting. That was a nice original option! Great job collaborating with a local brewing company!

Walking in, we were not even acknowledged, and we were the only two customers.
The dough was so thick that it made the toppings seem minimal. 40 plus dollars for a 16-inch pizza and two beers.
Never again.
Service was basically, here's your pizza.

Flying Pie flies no more. For twenty years this was my favorite place in all of Boise. I had moved away several years ago, but upon returning recently to Boise, I eagerly anticipated a Phosgo on sourdough with a really good beer. I was so so disappointed It no longer has a great beer selection nor a salad bar nor a convection oven. But the thing that really got me is they use a dough press. They no longer hand toss the pizza. Save yourself some money and get a Costco pizza or even a Pizza Hut.

Always enjoy eating fresh pizza here. Been a while since I’ve been here, but as you can see from the pictures it was horrible ?
My 5 year old and I had a late lunch and he ate half of his 10” cheese pizza, which is remarkable for his eating habits. I had the 10” “triple pie” which had a mix of fresh and pickled jalepenos. Delicious kick!
Kid-friendliness: Kid played pinball while we waited.

I have loved Flying Pie since I discovered it in the late 80’s. They’ve made some changes in the last few years, which some of my older friends and family members grumbled about, but at the end of the day the pizza is still fantastic, maybe even better than the “old days”, and the service is bar none! Oh, and they embrace diversity and the staff is so cool. I was especially impressed with a young man called Sage. He is so kind and very professional with some other rather unpleasant customers when we were there. Wish I could give them more stars!
Vegetarian options: They are happy to make custom vegetarian, vegan and gluten free pizza. My friends loved their choices.
Dietary restrictions: They are incredibly accommodating to any special requests, with extra special attention if you are allergic to certain foods. These guys really know the details of their ingredients!
Kid-friendliness: Our nieces had a blast watching them make the pizzas
Wheelchair accessibility: Looked ADA compliant to me, and I’m in healthcare

Not the cheapest pizza in town, but it is among the best. I first ate Flying Pie over 20 years ago at the Broadway location. A great place to get top notch pizza and beer.
