Amazing donut options, great customer service, and loved the ambiance of the place. Definitely recommend!

I'm an Apple Fritter connoisseur! I've resorted to making my own at home because I can't find consistently great ones anywhere, until now! This place, hands down, has THE best I've tried! I'm almost 60 years old and I spent the first forty years of my life in the Portland area and this beats any Portland area Apple fritter. To me without consistency I won't rate something, in three days I had one each day and they were each amazing! The service is excellent as well. One negative, at least for me is that you ask for tips prior to even eating the food. Tips should be based on service as well as quality of the food. Asking ahead of time is wrong in my opinion. Prices are also a little steep, however I don't mind as much when the quality is this high! I can't wait for my next visit to Idaho!

Wonderful to have a gluten friendly doughnut option! The coffee was awesome, the staff were great! They even made sure that I understood the difference between gluten friendly and gluten free, for my safety, when I chose my doughnuts.

Delicious donuts and tasty breakfast sandwiches. Great spot downtown Boise with excellent service. We tried the donuts which were delicious. The signature sandwich was made with eggs vegetables grilled onions and a tasty soft fabulous bread. Loved the whole experience.

Was looking for something to bring back to Cali and I found this place. Unfortunately I was late and the crowds before me purchased most of the assorted donuts. I still got some good flavors that were left. Ben and Julia took care of me and were very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

I used to absolutely love Guru and came in once a month to try their new donuts for years! We even had Guru donuts at our wedding! The donuts would stay fresh for over 24 hours. However, since they renovated and changed the shape of their donuts, they have been so disappointing. They are now so dry and are stale within hours. We gave them a second chance thinking it was growing pains and they were still too dry and dense. Our apple fritter was still doughy and uncooked in the middle as well. We won't be going back.

I wanted to love this place. The customer service was good, the location is cool, the donuts looked special.Unfortunately the taste/texture is not what I was hoping for. This may be personal opinion, but this is my review dangit. Most of the donuts had the texture (and often flavor) of a dinner roll with glaze on top. Maybe they would be much different fresh, but it was noon, not day old. They had neither lightness, nor sumptuous density, just a mouthful of bread. There was one, Cookie Monster or some such, that was so salty that none of my family could finish it.The old fashioned were okay. For $3.50/donut I had high expectations. I spent $100 on donuts for a birthday party.Did I just get unlucky? I’ve had chain donuts and grocery store donuts for half the price that I preferred.

This is the best donut shop I have ever had the pleasure of visiting! Such a beautiful place to invite friends for coffee as well as enjoy a hand crafted donut! The crew is so friendly and welcoming, can’t wait to go back again!

Worst job EVER! Insanely rough environment for the bakers. Always has been low-no staff. The work load has had bakers quitting. We ALL vocalized the work load was too much. Nothing changed. More work got put on the bakers. Last week I worked 17 hour shifts 2 days in a row and I was still told to do more, go faster. I cried during most of my shifts because I was so stressed and my body couldnt handle it. One baker should NOT be making donuts for ALL guru locations alone. Daryl intentionally sets her staff up for failure. Guru keeps closing because all of the staff keeps quitting because the work load is too much. It would be nice if someone cared. Because doing everything you can and being told its still not enough is the most defeating feeling.

Guru did an amazing job with dessert catering for our wedding. They made it incredibly simple to submit our order, purchase donuts, and complete the set up for the wedding. Guru brought trays and name cards and did a beautiful set up of donuts for the wedding! They were a hit!

This location seems to be under new management. Gone is the creative and fun vibes of the old guru donuts replaced by black and white McDonald's industrial vibe. A majority of the creative unique delicious donuts are gone. Instead you can choose from old fashioned, chocolate glazed and maple bars. As of writing this there were a small sample of the old guru donuts available. Bam bam, Samoa, and the og.

Guru donuts is wonderful. Incredible selection of new and interesting flavors and all delicious! We got a dozen which were very fresh and in a cute box. The service was fast and with a smile. Don't miss this place if like donuts!

Great donuts can be tough to find, but not at Guru

Guru has since added actual gluten free donuts ...and they're amazing! I think they've also changed owners. So much better.
