I like teriyaki and this place has good teriyaki! A good portion for the price and Andrew was very friendly! Indoor seating as well as a few seats outside under cover.

The beef happy noodles were delicious. The staff dealt with impatient rude customers during lunch rush in a great manner. The staff was very pleasant.

Was there for lunch. Food was good. But the guy at the food stall was super rude. When he was asking a question, I didn’t realize he was asking that to the people behind me and I answered. This guy said I should move out of his way with all giggles. Never going back.

Stopped by Happy Teriyaki hoping for a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark. The food was very bland—lacking the bold, savory flavors you’d expect from a good teriyaki dish. It wasn’t terrible, just underwhelming. The customer service also left something to be desired; staff seemed disinterested and not particularly welcoming. It’s not a place I’d rush back to, but it might be okay if you’re in the area and craving something quick and simple.

Been coming here for years. Walked in today and they’ve remolded everything from tables to the menu board. Unfortunately it looks like the food got the same. Ordered the Teriyaki bowl and was saddened to see they now give you about 1/2 the rice they used to. So now for over $10 you get half a bowl of food, not even enough to fill you up for lunch.

Food looks like nothing on the menu. Pretty bland and mediocre actually. $28 bucks for a combo plate and three tempura. Not impressed at all.

I've been to Happy Teriyaki multiple times and it never disappoints. All of their dishes have perfectly cooked meats and savory sauces that make each bite memorable. Not to mention the portions leave you feeling full, and often have leftovers. The restaurant is cozy and clean offering a relaxing environment that makes dining there a pleasant experience. If you're looking for a place to eat out at that has unique dishes and awesome service, Happy Teriyaki is the place to go!

Use to be good...hubs keeps trying hoping it'll be like it use to be. Nope. Broccoli Beef bowl, absolutely Vile, most gamey tasting meat ever. Husband took 2 bites before he tossed it. Good thing i ordered extra panda express cause I knew it would still be disgusting.

If you ever find yourself lost, starving, and with no other options but to eat at Happy Teriyaki – Federal Way, I’d strongly suggest you reevaluate every life decision that led you there. This place is the culinary equivalent of giving up.

Walking in, I was greeted by an ambiance that screamed "we stopped trying years ago." The decor looks like it was assembled by someone who lost a bet, and the lighting is just dim enough to make you question whether you're actually in a restaurant or some abandoned DMV waiting room.

Now, the food. Oh, the food. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to eat regret, order literally anything on the menu. The teriyaki sauce? Tastes like a tragic accident involving too much sugar and despair. The chicken? I’ve had more tender drywall. The rice? I’m convinced they use it as packing material before dumping it on your plate.

And the service—wow. It’s almost impressive how they make you feel like an inconvenience for existing. The staff moves with the urgency of someone trying to get fired on purpose. I could have watched an entire season of a bad Netflix show in the time it took for my meal to arrive, and when it did, I was genuinely unsure if it had been microwaved or just glared at until warm. The only respite was the cashier, she was nice, the others glared from the back.

The worst part? I paid for this experience. I willingly handed over my hard-earned money in exchange for an existential crisis served on a tray. If Dante had written about food purgatory, Happy Teriyaki would have its own circle of hell.

Final verdict: If your worst enemy asks for a restaurant recommendation, send them here. Otherwise, do yourself a favor—burn your wallet before you let it pay for this atrocity.
