The first time we came here, it was good, but nothing to write home about. But I’m so glad I came back and gave them a second go. The sushi was extremely good, fresh, and well prepared. Service was fantastic as well. Sake selection is on point. Not huge, but good quality. I like that they have a little picture guide at the place settings so you can figure out what the sushi bros have given you. Menu does a good job of explaining things as well for those who may not know all the proper sushi/sashimi names. The sushi rice was really well seasoned and the pieces were large. Hospitality was super as well! Really great experience and I highly recommend! Wish I had taken some photos, but I’ve already eaten everything up! Ordered the sushi and sashimi for 1 and aged tofu. Everything was excellent.

I went there with my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised. Its not overly expensive for what they offer. I got the ramen and california roll combination. The cali roll was 100% on point. The ramen was really good too. They had no issue accommodating my daughter's order for her ramen. She is rather picky with her ingredients and we felt like it was no hassle to have it her way. Everyone was friendly and quick with service. Will definitely be back when visiting Boise.

Fatty, yellowfin sushi, tuna sushi, the ocean roll, shumi, Miso soup, pork, Ramen, Island ramen (chicken, shrimp, pork, beef, fish patty) Hot sake, cold sake, a variety of beers. Everything was spectacular. Service was far above average. Extremely friendly, funny and helpful. Everything came out fast and hot considering the place was extremely busy.

We love Island Sushi! I am choosing not to eat raw fish due to pregnancy and they were so kind to accommodate me by modifying my favorite roll to be fully cooked. It was just as delicious as the original :)

Food made us all extremely sick:( Place was so cute. Waitress was amazing… sushi tasted off. We got the dragon, Hawaii and Boise roll. The sushi tasted off but thought oh it’s fine . Nope all three of us were sick overnight and now through the day. So awful :( I’m nauseous and running to the bathroom all morning now which is making work extremely difficult. Never going back

Island Sushi and Ramen is the best Asian food in a radius that’s hundreds of miles wide. I’d love to recommend you an item off their menu, but I’d be doing the place a disservice to exclude anything in my recommendation. I come here to celebrate big wins and soften hard days, this food is the greatest form of self care you can do for yourself. The staff is always kind and prompt, you can tell that their quality of service is the first thing on their minds. I will genuinely mourn this place like a friend if it ever goes out of business. They are the best!

Love to eat in at the sushi bar on lunch- a little getaway spot from the hustle and bustle outside the walls of this beautiful curated place. Have been going for years and continue to do so. My family also loves the ramen.
