Pumpkin chocolate chip bred was DELISH, interior is a cool vibe, service was good. I will say I got a specialty drink with black tea, some other flavors, and coconut milk, but all I could taste was the tea. A little disappointing. Also, their prices for food seems kind of crazy. I would come back, but this is not an establishment I will be visiting more than once every two weeks.
I used to work buy this coffee joint which is only another block down from another coffee shop I used to hit up. If I would have known the vibe of this joint sooner, I would have been in a long time ago. I was in the area so I stopped in for a coffee break. Heard nothing but great things so of course I had to check it out.
Walking in, the vibe is very 90's to me. You got the big comfy couches, the decor and music. The music brought me back to high school. It's like I warped back in time to my high school days, with my big backpack and all my homework. I remember listening to this same music with my big mug of coffee. It brought back such fond memories.
I got myself an iced americano with sugar free English toffee with room for cream. I appreciate that the sweet barista left enough room for my cream and not fill it to the brim. They have a table fully loaded with condiments for your drinks and food. I added my half and half with a blue packet and made my way to a table.
I normally don't kick it for a long time at coffee shops but today, I hung out for over an hour. I love the vibe so much! I chilled for a bit inside and drank the rest of my coffee outside. They have a couple tables facing East so the sun wasn't beating on me. Even though it's a busy area, it was still pretty relaxing.
If I could give this joint more than 5 stars I would. All the other 5 star joints I have ranked were great but I will have I say, they don't complete the vibe like how this place does. I really do look forward to coming back and having a another drink here. Great drink, sweet vibe and perfect weather = happy day.

Your friend from New Jersey. After attempting to run my credit card three times, you’re not going through. They actually gave me the coffee for free. I of course went back to my car where I actually had some cash, and put the money in the tip jar. The coffee was amazing, but the service made me feel as if I was a VIP.!

The coffee isnt that good
Yikes. Very friendly service, but who the hell cares when the food and coffee is so horrible. I find it strange that, as a coffee house serving coffee in to go cups, they don’t really have any breakfast options that are good on the go. I got the Java Benedict which was some regular deli ham, watered down hollandaise, and a burnt bagel. Coffee was so hot I couldn’t drink it for 20 minutes so when I finally could take a decent sip it tasted burnt. I couldn’t even finish my $8 coffee. Cant believe it cost $22 for what I thought would be a quick breakfast. The good reviews are clearly for the service and atmosphere, which is great, but personally I value good food/drinks more.

The bowl of soul is still a clear winter, and the interior is older than ever.
The place is feeling tired and old, so it really needs some pick up. The staff is quiet and reserved making the place feel unfriendly.
Sure Java is here to stay with a great downtown location and a solid menu, but it’s time to primp the place up a bit.

Logan’s interaction today moved me from 4 to 5 stars! What a difference people make!

The staff were friendly, but it took half an hour to receive the two hot beverages and a smoothie that we ordered. The beverages were fine. Nothing special. This places seems to have a menu that’s way too complicated for the staff to support. I wouldn’t stop here unless you have a couple of hours to kill and are really just looking for a place to sit.

Java House is hands down one of my favorite places to grab coffee. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly. I have to give a special shoutout to the Keith Richards—it’s my go-to drink and absolutely amazing. Strong, smooth, and just the right kick to get your day going. Whether I’m meeting a friend or just need a quiet spot to work, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!

If you order to go the coffee is good but the girls yell instead of talk, maybe they are yelling over the music, and they sound like valley girls or Dutch Bros girls. We are trying out coffee shops in Boise and so far this is our least favorite
My family loved the drinks! The decor was really cozy and reminded us of early 2000's coffee shops at OSU (the beanery).
Great coffee shop in downtown Boise! It was packed on a Saturday morning but we were still able to snag a table.
My friend ordered the Mexican chocolate latte and eggs and toast for breakfast. Prices are very fair. They have many fun specialty lattes to pick from as well as the typical rundown.
The baristas were so sweet and pleasant.
It seems like it would be a good place to study at during the week.
Drinks were excellent and consistently made. We met family from out of town and were able to visit and hang out here for a couple of hours!
Love this coffee, and such a cute little shop
