Kin is more than a restaurant. It is a wholesale Dining experience from ambiance, surroundings to food and drink. Attention is paid to every detail and it each one is executed flawlessly. Love the rotating menus, the rotating art on sight, and the thoughtfulness paid to wine pairings AND non-alcoholic pairings. I cannot wait to go again. Thank you to the Chef and staff for creating such an amazing experience!

We really appreciated the time, thought, and presentation that when into each dish. Each course came with a thorough explanation, background, and relevance to the theme. It was truly an exhibition and a delicious dining experience combined.

Wow. Amazing experience as Kin supported a local nonprofit. It was a beautiful presentation, blending of local ingredients and attentive staff. It was on the set meal side. Surprising us with each dish. Thank you! And a well deserved James Beard award.

I made a reservation for 9pm on February 10th for my wife and I. When I got there my wife and I walked in and waited to be checked in. No one checked us in and took us to our table even though the staff saw us. When we finally got someone to come over she told us we would have to wait for a table to free up. So we left. After we left KIN reached out and said they would still be charging us because the directions say we were supposed to get a drink, hang around then get served. No where does it say that not on open table and not on their website. Will not be trying this place again.

Great staff, ambiance and location. Really loved the organization, and the staff running the dinner seamlessly. The bar was also lovely. I enjoyed the wine pairings with dinner. One con is that was the most expensive meal I've literally ever had, and none of the courses really blew us away. They were all good but just ok. I would've liked to leave saying - THAT WAS AMAZING! For what turned out to be a $400 meal PLUS TIP. So, just be aware of the price point. Oh, and you're in VERY close quarters with your table mates. So, hopefully they're cool! But, it was interesting and fun.

Had an amazing time at their dinner. You are immediately greeted, shown how to enter and given a drink when you arrive. They also then tell you the theme and if you get there a little early you can walk around and look at the art and have a drink. You have assigned seats that are labeled. Each dish we had was amazing and inventive. I had so many things I had never eaten before! This is my second time coming and both times were so much fun.

They definitely focused on food presentation but not as much on taste, I was very disappointed. Every shared meal I've ever been to people want to talk and conversate, for some reason not here. Not recommmend especially if you are going there for any celebrations. It's more acceptable if you just go on a casual occasion. The price is very expensive however the food is not impressed at that levle of expectation. Looks good doesn't equal tastes good. Sadly, it does blind some peopl, and they think it is great. I think Kin is focusing too much on the looking/what the food represents rather than than how the food really tases itself. There were no memorable points on the food. The cocktails were great. Similar concepts are out there and so much more impressive.

Unique dining experience with top tier chef and multiple courses. You will not find anything similar in the entire Treasure Valley. Of course, the prices are not bashful either, but you get what you pay for.

Anniversary dinner at KIN with my wife. Service was fabulous from the Art Haus Bar through dessert. Food was delicious and inventive. Decor and ambience mostly on point, the actual lighting for the food was a bit weak. And music was at a perfect volume but the selection was a repetitive low energy European electronica. It was large table group seating, which normally we find perfect. In this case we were at table end and the entire room was compromised of much younger folks. And not a terribly engaging set of young folks at that, at least right where we were. We would much have preferred our own little table. But had we not been at table end (giving us more choice) or had our immediate table mates been more interesting, it would have been fine. So it goes. Our major complaint was presentation. And in this regard it it why we likely won't return. Each course was prefaced by it's narrative inspiration. In this case non profits. Forget the fact that it was annoying as hell to have my dessert prefaced by telling us the split in the chocolate delight represented the 15% "gender pay gap". Forget that it's factually absurd, even if it were a non profit for a cause I believe in (like veteran assistance), describe the food first so we begin eating, and keep the non profit description short and sweet. Not agonizingly long. Frankly, since you announced that these weren't agencies you donated to but wanted us to, maybe get your inspiration from nature or art. I asked them since this was a "season of giving" menu if the meal was free. Apparently it wasn't. While we are unlikely to return the food and staff were all excellent. And one of our serving staff even sang us a wonderful and sultry good-bye song. This is not a great romantic spot, but would be better with a small group. Fortunately my wife is all the company one needs so it was a Fab night.

I have to say that I believe that I had the most delicious salad I've ever eaten. This is the Lentil Salad on Menu 34. So ingenious, savory and unique. The entire meal was great, but I'll never forget that salad. This was the first time that I experienced Kin in this location. I love the ambience, artwork and especially, the noise level. I often find myself in restaurants where the music is blaring and it is impossible to talk with others without yelling. Kin offers a warm, quiet, and soothing atmosphere that honestly makes the whole experience more enjoyable.

Came for "hatesgiving" menu and let me tell you.. hate is a little strong but it was very unpleasant. If you're going to be adventurous and gimmicky that's all well and good but in a tasting menu restaurant please make sure your food actually tastes good.. I actually liked most the ingredients it was just very poorly executed. Service was overall good but the manager was a bit pretentious and I don't really like to bump elbows with strangers sat next to me. I assume on a different night without the gimmicky shtick the food would be better... Regardless for a $100+ per person price point this was easily the worst meal I've ever had. Also salmon was over cooked that's just indefensible. Terrible end to a trip visiting family.

This is as much an experience as a meal. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, it is an experience of connection with the other attendees, the food, and the staff. At the end of the evening, one has experienced a sense of community, an incredible array of tastes and textures, and a true event worthy of sharing. We went in November and throughly enjoyed the “Hatesgiving” menu. So many disparate ingredients that combined to change minds and tastes. (My beet hating husband was converted!).

The prix fix was okay but I had higher expectations after eating at their bar several times.Everything was good but nothing particularly blew me away. The ambiance and service were top notch.
