Tldr pretty authentic Mexican food and I'd like to try more of it.

First time coming here and it wasn't a bad experience, the staff was friendly and pretty quick with my food. I ordered the gordita which was enjoyable but a lil different from what I'm used too have more southern/central Mexican gorditas. I'll have to try the other dishes. I just wish the salsa verde had more kick because I enjoy the flavor or salsa verde compared to the salsa roja.

Food was not great. Outdoor seating area was dirty. Service was okay but I was really dissatisfied with the food

Starting this off that i was born and raised in Southern California. Moving to Boise it's been impossible to find incredible, authentic, delicious Mexican food. Lorena's has filled that void in my heart. Been back multiple times, always order something different and it's always absolutely astounding how great every thing is. I refuse to go anywhere else for mexican food in the Treasure Valley.

Good homemade food! We've stopped a couple of times while passing through on a road trip and loved both visits. Thanks Lorena!

Forgot to snap a photo because the food didn’t stand a chance! 😅 The carnitas tacos were absolutely amazing, and my husband’s adobo burrito was just as incredible. Service was friendly and absolutely unmatched - we’ll definitely be back!

I went there in 2022 while passed by Boise, was very impressed by the food. Came again in 2025 when passed by Boise the second time, still very impressed. We spent 40$ got two and half serving of entree, a drink , a side, and dessert. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! Their churro was amazing. Before trying theirs I’ve only tried churro from Subway once, and decided there’s no possibility I would enjoy it. When I saw they had it, I decided to give churro a second chance. It was very good! Crunchy outside and very soft inside, the spices and sweetness were perfect. The woman there definitely loves her job and is proud of her job.

I am so glad I tried Lorena’s tacos! Oh my holy heck… SO good!! We got the chicken and pork tacos with corn tortillas and they were the best tacos I have had in a loooong time. I tried to get her to cater our next event! But it’s just her and one guy working it and they are extremely hard working. I can’t wait to go back! You can get two tacos, rice and beans for $9.
