Since I discovered sushi shack it's the only place in Boise I go to for sushi. Nothing will come close - so I don't even try.

I was so excited to taste their sushi, me and my husband went there recently for my birthday. They do not offer many choices for cooked sushi. Out of their 30 different options the only option they had for cooked was: The Idaho roll. That’s it. The sushi had a little aftertaste of refrigerator. Overall would not recommend eating here.

I have watched and eaten at sushi shack’s from 2018 when they only had a food truck. From that point on I would look for their truck as they hade the best sushi I had have in the treasure valley. They have since opened two brick and mortar places. One out in Harris Ranch, in downtown Meridian and another one coming. The owner is a very good owner and has grown his company is a good pace. I have been an entrepreneur all my life growing my different business’s so I can appreciate another’s entrepreneurial spirit. Come to any of our places and enjoy excellent sushi.

Tried the food truck at Ann Morrison. It took 30 minutes for one roll but it was honestly worth it . The sassy sis was the best roll I've ever had. No joke. It had so many fresh flavors with the lemon and cilantro and amazing texture, without being drowned in sauce. Will be visiting the restaurant. Sorry about the pic, that's only half the roll.

DJ was an awesome server!

Been wanting to check out the shack for a while. We were in the evening of 9.5.24. I don't know if the kitchen was having an off night, or they were just overwhelmed, but after waiting close to an hour for 4 rolls, we had to leave. Absolutely deafening inside as it seemed a large party was taking up alot of resources. Giving the shack 2 stars instead of 1, as our server Ellie (spelling?) actually acknowledged that we were never seen after being sat and apologized for our our food. Kudos to her for being professional. Will try another time, hopefully the experience will be better.

The food was delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. Really fun atmosphere and Ashley was an amazing host. Her cocktails are a must have and best one I’ve had in a long time.
