From the Houston area with family from NOLA. Only place to go in Idaho for Cajun or creole. Love the owner and their Mardi Gras party each year. The bar in the common area has the best selection of beers on tap too.

We love the catfish here! The food is always perfectly cooked, which is not usual for fish places. The only downside is that it can take a long time if it's busy- this is not fast food.

Did not have boudin balls that are on their menu. Can't have what's on your menu then you lose business.

Plain and simple - this place is HIM! As someone who went to school in Louisiana (geaux tigers), has family from and still around Baton Rouge, lived with buddies from south Louisiana, I am able to confirm these folks are making AUTHENTIC Cajun/creole/southern soul food. When I learned that the owners are from New Iberia, Louisiana, I knew it was going to slap. They know how to cook down there in “Da Berry.” They certainly brought that up culture and soul food expertise up here to Idaho. The kitchen will always let you know what’s fresh and recommend the best bites. They rotate some of the menu based on seasons and availability, but there are consistent items throughout the year that are all good. Perfect spot to stop in before/after seeing a movie, or if you’re out running errands in the area. You’ll know these guys are legit as soon as you peep the menu. Love getting a taste of “home” up here in Idaho! Keep up the GREAT work, LSB!!

Louisiana Soul Bayou's Facebook page posted a photo of a Cajun seafood pasta last night as a limited time offering and it looked SO good I had to cross off what we were having for dinner tonight and send my husband on down to get us some to try. I also had him get us a side of ratchet fries to split. We are from ID but visited LA a few years back and dream of the food we had there, and finding anything even remotely similar is next to impossible here. But this seafood pasta we had? Oh. My. Goodness. Daaaaaang delicious, is really the only way to describe it! It was made with love and the perfect amount of heat. I wish this was offered all the time!We previously have eaten here and my husband got the jambalaya, and I had a shrimp po boy. Equally as delicious. I've seen a few complaints that the prices are high, but honestly we spend the same amount eating at a sit down restaurant where the food is often the same generic chain restaurant meals. I feel like you get your money's worth here, personally, and that it's well worth it! BIG thanks to Jody + crew for the delicious dinner!

Disappointed... we came here 4 years ago and had the best food and experience ever and it was reasonably priced.came today and it was $52 for two sandwiches and two sides. I would understand if it was $30-ish, but we tipped 20%, so the lunch in total ended up being $63. how is that an affordable lunch option?we're no longer coming back here unfortunately.

The filet in Fried Catfish PO Boy tastes tender. Cajun Fries are average. The dish is slightly overpriced for its size.

The Mac & Cheese shells were ok, the fish was AMAZING, the rest was good, like I would come back for sure good. I would've given 5 stars, but like I said, the Mac & cheese shells were ok at best. 1st time in Boise, so for them to even have a place, there was ? ?. No sweet tea. Booooo. Not when I went they might have it now.

The staff were nice enough but the food wasn't really up to par. I relocated to Boise from South Louisiana so I guess I have pretty high standards when it comes to this type of cuisine. To be fair, I haven't found any place in Boise that can serve legit "authentic" Cajun or
