I made a long drive to try this place waited until five because it said online they were going to be open on a Saturday I made the long drive and waited only to find out they had no intention to open at all. Very disappointed and won’t be going back ever. What a let down I headed down to yoi tomo sushi in Boise and it was delicious go there instead friends.

This place has apparently closed permanently so please don't bother wasting your time going here. They need to update that they've closed permanently so that people don't waste their time & gas driving here.

Awesome food and service! It was pleasantly quiet for a Saturday night and all the rolls we had (kamikaze, Miyako, 911, and angel's kiss) were wonderful definitely recommended the angel's kiss roll. Best sushi I've found so far across Nampa, Boise, and Meridian.

This is the first time I have ever written a review and I hate to criticize someone’s hard work. This place was horrible. Really. Their card reader was down so I ran next door for cash.. they comped me the ATM fee which was fine but the food good heavens is better from a grocery store. If you want sushi that the fish has a fishy flavor from frozen Walmart “Canada distributors” and the owner being trained by YouTube (fact) ... noodles that taste like charred soy sauce.. zero flavor — so disappointed in paying so much for such a bad experience. Good luck, I am sure if you aren’t a picky sushi person it would be fine but if you are looking for quality food look elsewhere.

Ordered takeout, was told an hour... ok that's fine. I show up and hour later and told it's going to be another 30 mins... I get that you're probably short handed but don't tell a customer a certain time period and it be completely way off. It's one thing if it's an additional 10 mins but 30??? You just have no concept of time

What’s not to love about a local restaurant where the food is excellent?Sometimes service can be a bit slow, but it is always worth it.

Update: when I got home, I also noticed he vandalized my car. Smeared food over my door. Not normal...whoa. The manager / whatever here was so rude/hostile. Going with hostile. And vandalized my car?!? I was parked in front of the bank (not this place). In a (sadly) empty parking lot taking a difficult call. This guy came and banged on my passenger window. Scared me. Told me to leave. Wasn't in a position to deal with it. So left. Finished the call. Went and got food from another business in the lot 20 minutes later. Still (sadly) empty parking lot after all that time. Still plenty of parking in front this business (which I was never in front of). Still totally empty parking at the bank where I was originally. Love sushi. Order it every chance I get. Didn't know about this place. Sadly do now. If me pulling over in the empty lot next to his business before getting food in that very complex is his biggest problem of the day...good on him, I guess.

Hands down the best sushi and yakisoba in the Treasure Valley! We hadn't visited for some time due in part to covid. Both the food and the service of Sally (our waitress) were phenomenal tonight, and reminded us just how great of a gem Maru really is! They don't have a seemingly endless menu of specialty rolls, nor are they trying to "reinvent the wheel". What they do is knock quality out of the park with affordability to top it off! I personally can't ask for much more then that. We will certainly be making a family trip from Middleton for our monthly sushi nights from now on! Do yourselves a favor and check this place out.

The absolutely hands down best sushi in Boise. This small business owner takes pride in his business, and in every roll of sushi he makes. It is like food art...this is exquisite. If you have to wait a few minutes , don't be impatient. A masterpiece is not built quickly. You will not regret the trip this little shop.Enjoy and God bless.

A nice, quiet place - we ordered takeout sushi and maki after we realized dine-in was not currently supported. It was delicious and the ratio of fish to rice and other ingredients was nice.I'd definitely go back.

Amazing sushi! So fresh and flavorful, with unique and delicious rolls. This is our favorite place to eat sushi, and couldn’t recommend it enough. Just eat here already. ? ???
