Great little coffee shop. Good coffee. However the barista could use some people skills. There are PRE-PACKAGED coffee cakes and brownies at the counter. I picked one up to look at it and thought she was about to jump over the counter to grab it out of my hand.. she said “don’t touch those!” I was shocked and taken Back a bit and said…”did you just tell me to not touch this?” She said “there is so much going around and it’s not sanitary.” I replied. Then there should be a sign that says please don’t touch!! So odd….

Highly recommend Moss. The coffee and drinks are fantastic and every time I visit I have a unique conversation with Zach where I walk away with a piece of information or knowledge I didn't have before I walked in. I love that.

Small cute coffee shop - I loved the laid back feel of the place. The iced tea was super good, not too sweet with the flavoring. It was very chill, I went at noon on a weekday and no one else was there. If you're looking for a quiet spot this is the place! The barista was friendly and nice!

Super rude staff. No need to waste time and money when there's plenty of a really nice coffee shop in downtown Boise.

Ok - I just popped in for a quick coffee. Nothing fancy, just a drip cup . . . and it was AMAZING!!! Deep rich flavor, one of the best cups of drip-coffee I’ve had in a long time. Plus the barista was super personable and friendly. Thanks!

Moss Coffee & Tea is one of the more low key coffee shops in Downtown Boise. There isn't as much seating as other spots nearby but the vibe is still very chill with a few spots to sit inside and out. I personally wouldn't bring my laptop to work from here, but I do believe they have free wifi. The staff here are really nice and I see them trying their best with the space they are given. The barista station is really small, and the baristas often have to go to a back area to get certain ingredients. A big kudos for them on making some really great coffee in a small space. Their cinnamon rolls are legendary! My favorites are their pecan brown sugar and orange cinnamon rolls. An honorable mention to their bee pollen latte. On paper, this has me written all over it but something about it was just a bit off to me. I'd try it if you're curious, but this isn't my go-to order from Moss. An Iced Americano is my go-to in most places, including Moss Coffee & Tea! I love the different flavors you can add in like lavender, macadamia nut, and huckleberry. They also offer Eric's Honey, which is honey with other ingredients like: turmeric, ginger, clove, etc. Lots of great health benefits in this yummy honey! There's paid street parking all around this spot, don't forget to press the + button for a free 20 minutes! Freak Alley is nearby too- grabbing a quick coffee to-go and walking around the outdoor art gallery is a great way to spend some time exploring Downtown Boise!

If you’re awake early enough for a great coffee in a well-priced, quaint, and comfortable space, Moss is my first pick. Excellent coffee, friendly employee, and a quiet little shop. A hidden gem on 9th.

Felt like I was an inconvenience being there. No hello or be right with you. Got the wrong tea also. Ended up throwing it away.

I walked down Idaho street looking for a latte after my meeting and stopped into Moss. The barista was so friendly and I really enjoyed my interaction with them. I ordered a caramel latte with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious. Probably the second best latte I've ever had. And, it was cheaper than most lattes I've had. I will definitely be stopping by again to try some of the other drinks.

What a quaint little location combined with happy, courteous service and smooth coffee! We have come here many times before but today was exceptional! The coffee hit just right and the combinations of the little gifts they have available alongside the pastries and quiche is always comforting. Thank you for being such a wonderful place!

A very quiet and enjoyable Monday morning coffee. I love the feel of Moss, simple, with really beautiful touches. The guy working was nice and had a really good speed for a fall morning. I enjoyed my coffee on their tables outside. The wall paper is cool and would a fun little photoshoot space. If you are looking for a secluded little coffee spot perfect meetings, Moss is it!! Prices also seemed a little cheaper than a few other spots in downtown. Cheers!

All I knew of Moss Coffee & Tea prior to yesterday was that they are located behind Lark & Larder and when I pull into L & L's lot to shop the sign they share has both business names. But yesterday I learned Moss also bakes delicious cinnamon rolls when I purchased a mixed 4 pack assortment of same (cinnamon, orange - cinnamon, pecan brown sugar and marionberry) via the Boise Farmers Market (BFM) on Saturday which Moss sells there only once a month and only via the order in advance and drive up to pick up market option. Who knew? Now you do too. I have been using the BFM order in advance (on Tue or Wed) and pick up on Saturday market regularly since Spring 2020 when it was first introduced as creative covid19 pivot by the BFM folks, ordering at least twice a month, and yet it was only this past week I spied these Moss cinnamon roll options. I've been missing out! If you are ordering at the BFM drive through option on the week the Moss cinnamon rolls are available you can order singles of any flavor or the aforementioned four pack. My understanding is the cinnamon rolls are also available at Moss in Boise and their sister coffee place Crane Cafe in Eagle (on State near Home Depot). Of the four we ordered our favs were the cinnamon and cinnamon - orange. Perfectly tender and baked dough and sweet but not too much so for frosting. We found the pecan - brown sugar just a tad sugary - gritty for not quite finished to our preference topping and the marionberry roll was underbaked by a bit. But very good dough on all of them. We live closer to Crane Cafe than Moss so it will likely be their sister store we go to for more of these cinnamon rolls and more we will want to buy!

Perfect little coffee shop. They even had something for my husband. I had cold black brew, perfect and he had a sugar free strawberry Red Bull! Thanks!
