Went to eat here for the first time. Walked in and the waitress asked if we wanted a high table, bar, or low table. We asked for low. The other waitress proceeded to tell her no we could not sit there and take up a whole long table so we sat at the bar. We sat for 15 minutes while we watched a couple sit next to us and get drinks and order food while we had zero interaction with anyone. We ended up leaving without even getting to order drinks. Horrible service.

My wife and I have been at this location twice before but never again. We took my mother in law one time and as we waited for our food. I poured my wife and I some soy sauce, as I put the soy sauce container down a small dead Cockroach fell from the top of the lid and hit the wall of the inside of the container. We were disgusted. We left but I also let an employee know what just happened. Also the owner of the location seemed like it was a bother that we walked in wanting to eat, could see it on her face. My apologies in the negative words but I rather inform people about a location that lacks in cleanliness when it’s needed, than not say anything.

The Ramen flavor is not authentic Japanese reman, but they made a good adjustment so the flavor still tastes great!

Sad to say the food quality has gone way down hill and the portions have shrunk. The vegan ramen has lost all its flavor and the protein and broccolini have been cut into laughable portions. Very bland. Will have to find a new go-to place for ramen and sushi.

This was my first time eating here. I was really excited because I love Ramen and being new to Boise I thought this would be a great place.
My experience started off great. Even though it was lunch time they weren't to busy so I was seated right away. Before I even got the food menu the server was asking if I knew what I wanted and I said no, but I would take a water. (The water was disgusting BTW. IT tasted dirty) Now that I have menu I am looking over it. Remember this is my first time. I didn't even get a chance to look over it and server again asked me what I wanted. I explained that I just got the menu and haven't had chance to look at it. *this is same server who sat me at my table and brought me water*
Finally I figure out what I want and order. I also order a drink to have something other than the gross water.
When I get my food I have to wait for my drink. While she is talking to another server. Just chatting finally she gave me my drink which was disgusting too and when I paid she stood over me when I was doing the tip. I won't be returning. Disappointed

This place used to be good but now its nasty. Sticky tables and chairs. We slipped on used chopsticks. Our Gyoza looked raw. Zero ice in my husband's drink. We paid and left without eating, afraid we would get sick. Nice server, we tipped him because it's obviously a management problem. Everytime we go there, there are new servers.

Went in to get dinner and was told we had 10 minutes to order. We offered to leave due to the fact they were more concerned about getting off work than having customers.

AVOID at all costs! Multiple wrong orders! UNSANITARY! While my wife and I were waiting for our order, we overhear that the table next to us received an incomplete order. They ordered a chicken entree that forgot the chicken. We ordered sushi, ramen, and boba. I ordered sushi roll with rice but they gave me sashimi instead (sashimi does not come with rice) so I also received the wrong order. My wife ordered ramen and it was the saltiest soup that tasted like cheap top ramen packets. Our boba was an incomplete order plus had long curly black hair (I'm bald and my wife has gold hair). Will never come back, there are better sushi restaurants around.

All three of our to go containers leaked when filled with Ramen, No idea why they used paper to go cups for liquid.
Sushi seemed bland.

Nara Ramen has a great vegan ramen, but for some reason more than half the time I’ve ordered via online to pick up in store or have delivered 3rd party there is something wrong with my order. While this is understandable as restaurants have miscommunications. The issue is when I call about the discrepancy I experience I end up having to go back and forth with the manager in order to get it corrected. Every time the restaurant has corrected the order so I can’t take away credit there. Hopefully this can get fixed in the future.

Great food, but delivery needs improvement.
We love the food—it’s consistently delicious! However, the delivery packaging could use some attention. We've had two separate orders where the bags gave out from the bottom, causing spills. It would be great if sturdier, more sustainable packaging could be used to ensure the food arrives safely. Looking forward to ordering again once this is improved!
