I first visited the Owyhee when it opened and my experience was they had a serious service problem. It's been over a year since the initial visit and a friend urged another try. I made the reservation for a Thursday early evening dinner. We were seated promptly in the dining room and the server took a drink order while we waited for our friends. We ordered the $50 3 course meal with the Halibut entree. The server returned saying no Halibut substituting Mahi Mahi for one meal and the blue cheese steak for another. The Caesar salad was a partial wedge with cheese slivers and some croutons. The lettuce looked a little tired but edible. When the entrees arrived I was surprised how small the steak was, about 4 ounces with a little blue cheese sauce on top. The plate was covered in fries, I suppose to create an image of volume. The piece of meat was edible but not tender. The 3rd course was some sort of brownie. In my personal rating system I could only give this visit a "C". The dining area was very dark and the server did his best but the food quality suffered. This place should probably give up doing dinners and concentrate on their bar and finger foods. I wouldn't be excited about returning.

We had a really nice lunch. Saturday happy hour is a great deal. We grabbed a cheeseburger (lovely meat) and a salmon burger (which was an actual salmon filet and not a bunch of binder). I loved the cheesy tater tots and the fries were really good too. Nice drink specials. We'll be back. Next time I want to try the ahi tacos.Kid-friendliness: We sat at a booth that was large and allowed our toddler to stretch out. Staff was totally cool with having a kid with us.

I'm not an expert on Boise dining options, but this place was fantastic. Food, service, atmosphere were just outstanding.

We had a great experience here. The food was good, our service was good and the atmosphere was really fun. The restaurant was pretty loud but it was a fun vibe with people ranging in ages. I got the three for $35 where you can choose a soup or salad, Entree and then dessert for $35.

The food was tasty; I enjoyed the salad I ordered for lunch. The service could have been a little faster. Prices felt high to me, but I guess that is the world we are living in now...

Stopped in this evening, first time at this establishment. Modern and busy, we had reservations and were seated right away. An extensive menu and wine list was presented by a very friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. I had the wedge salad and beef fondue, my wife had the prime rid dip. The salad was very good as was the beef fondue. Although the two items were basically appetizers it was enough for a meal. I certainly would recommend them. My wife's prime rib dip was dry as the gobi desert. In defense, I've never had a french dip (or variation thereof) that wasn't dry. I wouldn't recommend. We'll probably try this establishment again next time we're in Boise. Don't get the prime rib dip!

Celebrated out 8yr anniversary here, we had a little issue with the hostess at first, but management took care of that attitude issue. Now the food was amazing, best lamb i have had in a long time. The atmosphere was lovely and romantic depending on where you sat. Great value for the food. Our waitress was amazing. Would recommend and I'll come back.

Gave a 2 star review because of the leadership ofthis location. Perhaps the manager was having a bad day, we all have those and I know customer service can be tough. However, on this given trip I had made a reservation for my family and I (5 people) at 5:00pm which is way before peak dinner rush. We had an unexpected joiner and a miscommunication making our party total of 7. When we checked in, Scott the GM, was flustered and borderline rude that we added a few to our reservation. I offered to take my business elsewhere, he said he was doing his best to accommodate us. Regardless we had a great time as a family and the Thai chicken salad ( Eagle location) was the best I’ve ever had. Sorry you’re having a bad day Scott, but don’t take it out on your customers. I do understand the imposition it causes and would have let you in advance, if possible.
