In all fairness to this establishment, this review is for Coffee and Donuts on Saturdays. I was in line outside and not actually in the store. Went there for the first time today, and what seemed to be "regulars" are very rude. I watched a lady named Abby call over her friend to stand in line with her to keep her 4yr old son entertained. I thought this man would just visit with them, but he cut the line in front of 6 people ahead of him. This is so rude, especially during the holidays! Mind you, we have been standing an hour in line in 30 degree cold. I understand this isn't on your business directly, but maybe put signs up to have consideration for all customers. Rotten regulars will ruin it for your business.

Review for walk up window only: was excited to try because I always hear about this place. I got two items and they were both bland not tasty.

Donuts, coffee, bouchons, Nutella pop tarts, and scotch eggs. All so very excellent. I'm thankful that Petite4 decided to implement the Saturday donuts and coffee format. Go stand in line, just like in a big city, to get your treats. You can eat on their smallish south patio, the parking lot, your car, or take it with you. It's reasonably priced, and the quality is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

My husband and I had such a great experience here. The food was amazing and the interior had a wonderful ambiance. We loved our spot overlooking the kitchen, fun to watch. The service was also fantastic.

Really amazing restaurant. House made bread is great. Atmosphere, staff, food and drinks all 100% awesome.

the best meal I have had in Boise since moving here from Coeur d'Alene last year. I had the special, the mixed fish fry. It was lightly coated and expertly fried. so light and airy. I have never had fried scallops before, I don't know if I can ever have them any other way now. $2 happy hour oysters, uh yes please. chocolate stout cake-hot damn. they know what they are doing and have an expert revenace for food. go here

Second visit, just as good as our first. A really lovely little space, better for couples or at most groups of four. The rotating menu means there’s always something new to enjoy. We tried the croquettes, the ratatouille, the smoked salmon crepes, the Brussels sprout Caesar, and the lentils, all of which were delicious. Consensus pick was that the crepes were the best. The ratatouille is very good but almost overwhelmingly flavorful - the two of us couldn’t finish it. Looking forward to our next visit.

I always usually post photos with my reviews, but the food here was so incredibly delicious that I couldn't be bothered by taking any. My husband & I have been here before & I remembered it being great, but this time we went all out. Without a doubt the best food in all of Idaho is served here. We got a scotch egg & croquettes as an appetizer, phenomenal. Then my husband got the steak frites & I got the royal with cheese. I didn't even know what it was when I ordered it, I just took a chance. We were in heaven the whole time hahaI honestly don't think I can really describe with words how amazing this place is. You really have to just go in & see for yourself. Bob was our host & he was helpful & kind & made some great recommendations. I can't wait to come back here on our anniversary.Petite 4 is officially my favorite restaurant of all time.

Today, I discovered that the review I previously posted re: Petite 4 on Google has been removed, as well as my photos. Although my experience was poor, my review was a fair and legitimate review that was not in violation of any of Yelp’s content guidelines. In the spirit of providing constructive feedback, I am re-submitting my review and photos. On March 20, 2019, I went to Petite 4 with two friends. We started by ordering two appetizers to share; Gougeres and Croquettes. My choice was the Gougeres.I was surprised when the Gougeres was served. A gougere is a small, airy French cheese puff made of baked choux pastry that has grated cheese mixed in. Petite 4’s version was two oversized gougeres. They were visibly burnt and had none of the airiness normally associated with this dish. The Chorizo and Manchego Croquettes were good, but not exemplary. It would’ve been a better choice for the chef to stick with a classic French potato croquette versus attempt one that paid homage to the Spanish style, which only leads to comparison. Personally speaking, I prefer the Basque style of croquettas.I ordered French Onion soup, which I forgot to take a picture of before I began eating. The soup was beautifully presented in a red bowl and looked delicious, but had little to no flavor. I kept adding salt to it in an effort to coax out some flavor, to no avail. French Onion soup is one of my favorites. I’ve never been so disappointed as I was with this version. For my entrée, I ordered the Cassoulet. It was overcooked and dried out. After taking a couple of bites, I asked for a to go box. My hope was that refrigerating it overnight might give the flavors a chance to meld, and that perhaps the center of the dish was salvageable. Alas, it was not to be.My friends both ordered the Moules-Frites, which they enjoyed. I didn’t try their dish, a simple meal most can make at home. The frites looked like dried out little match sticks placed on top of the mussels, instead of the crispy pomme frites traditionally served along side the mussels. We would have liked to have tried dessert, but we weren’t offered any. Given that the majority of the dishes we ordered were not good, I took it as a message from the universe that it was time to move on.Putting my experience into context, I grew up in countries that were colonized by the French. Not only am I familiar with French cuisine, but with the exception of the chef’s Spanish take on Croquettes, I have previously tried every dish I ordered, albeit prepared by classically trained French chefs. It’s the discrepancy between Petite 4’s versions and those others that I find so disappointing. I recognize Petit 4 is a favorite of many. Perhaps my experience was a one off. Even so, being served 1 out of 4 dishes that was palatable has understandably left me less than eager to give it another try. Knowing that the owners seek to have legitimate reviews and photos removed, leaves me with even less incentive. C’est la vie!

One of the best restaurants in Boise; the food and cocktails are absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I went pretty close to closing time, and the staff allowed us to stay late, chatted with us, and were awesome all around. The atmosphere is also great, and has a fancy yet cozy vibe. Highly recommend!

We have been to Petite 4 twice and both times it has been a wonderful experience. This French inspired bistro offers a variety of dishes meant to be shared. The low octane cocktails are right up my alley, and the draft beer selection is small but very nice. The composed Oyster was so delicious we had to keep ourselves from order a bunch more! The Bayonne ham charcuterie plate was simply delicious, from the fresh baguette to the simple and utterly delicious salt & butter. The Brussels sprouts and seafood voul au vent were delicious as well. Everything we tried was on point, already making plans to go back. Make a reservation or show up early because it is a small space, otherwise it’s worth the wait!
