Tried Phó Nominal in Boise and left pretty underwhelmed, especially given the prices.
The #4 Bánh Mì was a letdown — the bread was very dry and overly crunchy, and the ingredients were just okay. On top of that, you have to pay extra for basics like daikon and mayo, which felt nickel-and-diming.
The #1 Phó was bland and really needed more depth of flavor. The meat itself was cooked well, but the portion was sparse — it honestly made me wonder if they’re cutting back because of beef prices. Also worth noting: our table wasn’t given a spoon, while other tables around us were, which was odd.
Milk tea was another disappointment — you can’t mix more than one flavor, and the pricing overall feels high for what you get.
There’s potential here, but for the cost, the food and service consistency just didn’t deliver.

The waiter with long hair (white guy) told me “watch out for the bandidos” as I walked out of the establishment. That’s a racist police/motorcycle gang. I’m Hispanic, that was very uncalled for. Pathetic

I hate to do this to a business but I was just served raw cold uncooked uncured beef. I'm not sure you can do that.

I got the Hue Spicy Beef Noodle Soup it was way to fishy for the style of soup that should be more beef based.

My daughter loves this place, but its not worth the drive across town and waiting 45+ minutes waiting in store for one takeout order. Several others waiting for orders as well. Could be a lot more organized. Maybe im getting old and impatient. I'll stick to my favorite tried and true pho place which shall not be named. 😊

The food is great! The place is spacious and the people who work there are kind. My Vietnamese mother makes the best eggrolls and the eggrolls at this place is very very close. The pho is delicious and they have vegan options too.

I would give 0 out of 10 stars if I could. I stopped coming to this location but decided to give it another try. This place used to be great. There is an interesting dude at the front who answers the phone with a Vietnamese accent, but drops it quickly if you don’t have one yourself. We asked for a side of Hoisin and Sriracha, and he just said that we needed to pick one and couldn’t have a side of both. I’m paying $17.50 for one bowl of soup and I can’t have a small side of both sauces? He said both were already in the bag. The amount in the tiny cups barely covers the bottom. The sriracha had even less than the hoisin. Very small portions of onions, cilantro, and the normal add ins- with a fun moldy sprig of basil! They didn’t even include a pair of chop sticks to eat with. Fortunately, the soup is still yummy even with all the issues… however I’m reminded why I stopped coming here in the first place.

I’ll start by saying I never leave reviews and I got the food to go. The chicken was ice cold. Ok…not ideal but I’ll just eat without. The noodles/broth and spring rolls all had a weird taste so I tossed it.

The worst service I've ever received. We waited 45 minutes for appetizers that never came, while others sat after us got theirs. I left when the busboy splashed water on me. Will not be back.
