So bummed about our experience. Took a group of women out to celebrate a 21st birthday. Told at the door that despite not allowing reservations, there would be no way they could accommodate our group of 6 together. It was clear they were trying to discourage us from waiting. They said it would be “near impossible” to seat us. Despite this we waited a short while and were seated together. We informed the waiter of the 21st birthday, no discounts, congratulations, birthday wishes or any other well wishes were made. Our DD asked what non alcoholic options were available the waiter stated rudely, “I guess you could have a hot buttered rum without the rum” scoffed then turned to the rest of the group without taking an order from the DD. Our water glasses were never refilled. And it was clear they were trying to hurry the experience, despite our group spending $145. on drinks. The decor was fun. Other customers were kind and friendly. The bar staff was kind, but the waiter/ manager made the experience less than optimal. If it wasn’t for him we would have had a great time and no complaints.

Press and Pony is a great place to meet the girls. It is definitely decorated for Christmas and the Bar Masters know what they are doing. Get there early as it fills up quickly. There was a line before opening. And once the are full, you will have a wait. Nice way to start off the holiday season.

Never have I been to a bar that not only served amazing drinks, but I learned about the top things Idaho is known for, a detailed history lesson of Basque culture, a great Capt Hook interpretation, and a wonderful overview of local bars and sites to see. Thanks for such a great time, Erik!
Love this Place, great vibe. One of the Best Old Fashions ive ever had. Bartenders where awesome. I would highly recommend this place for Specialty cocktail.

Such a cool little bar. Always friendly, great service and the staff are super personable. It's that perfect mix of dive, great cocktails and speak easy. Top Boise bar and a must visit. The old fashioned is stellar if you're a bourbon drinker. Also appreciate that they don't pack it in, must be seating to be served. It makes for a much better experience.
