We ordered a rizzo chicken (comes with yellow rice) and a meat shawarma with Pita bread.
The yellow rice was too good. The chicken could have been a little bit less smelly but it was good overall.
About the Shawarma, the greek/turkish style Meat was one of the best I have tasted in USA. The bread was soaked in meat fat too which made it double tasty.
But I guess the concept of PITA bread is different in US because I was expecting a different kind of bread.
Overall, the food was really good.

What an incredible lunch we had today! The food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the Meat Shawarma and the Falafel in Bread with salad, humus and baba ghanoush. Everything tasted fresh and definitely worth coming back for.

Reminds me of all the authentic Arabic food out in Dearborn, Michigan. Boise has been needing a great Arabic place for a while!

Overall, my experience at RIZZO was far from satisfactory. Poor service, uninspiring ambiance, and disappointing food mean I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this restaurant to others.

Was really looking forward to trying this new restaurant on the bench. We were quickly let down. The server acted short the entire dinner, not clearing a single plate or asking how the food was during the meal at all. If she would have asked we would have told her things were very subpar. For an appetizer, we ordered pita and tzatziki. We were served a tortilla with our tzatziki. Very odd. had the “Rizzo meat” whatever that means (no specification of what meat that was). The photo in the 3 ring binder menu showed that it came with pita but we realized when it arrived it didn’t. We didn’t get a chance to ask our server about it because she never came back. The meat was good but the rice was very old and hard. We could have washed it down with water but their only water option is to buy bottled water bottles. We finally finished and made our way to the counter to meet our server who was on her phone. We were prompted with the classic tip screen that started at 20%. The little Caesar’s that was there had better quality food and service, and that’s saying a lot.

We got the shawarma meat and chicken sandwiches the bread was excellent. As well as the filling. It came with a side of some dips that were very delicious that we use the extra bread for. Very good price.

I was a small part of the construction/remodel for this new business. I saw the quality and the effort the owner of the restaurant put into it and knew I had to try it once they opened. The inside of Rizzo looks great now that it’s finished. Very clean and relaxing inside.
Now the food. I went in semi hungry for lunch. I got the #3 (beef Shawarma over pita I believe). It came with a little side salad first. The food was so dang good I over ate! The meat was really flavorful and so were the onions that came with the meat on the pita. Some yummy seasoning that coated the onions. I’m not the biggest onion fan and I thought they were great. 3 dips came with the meal. They were the highlight for me. Hummus so good you won’t want to get store bought hummus again! I think the other was an artichoke dip which was nearly as amazing as the hummus! There was also a tzatziki dip which was fine. I didn’t try it as much as I was devouring the other two dips. And they ended my meal with a Turkish tea. Can’t wait to go back. My wife will love it and I’m telling all of my friends and family! Come support this great small business!

I got a great lunch from Rizzo! It was delicious and seems very authentic and it is a really good amount of food for the price. The shawarma was really really good. Rizzo adds a much needed punch of flavor to the bench! Highly recommend
