Rooster's Eatery and Catering

Food is great but we showed up at 1:55 on a Friday and they turned us around and said they were closed even though the sign on the door and the website clearly say they close at 2:30. I completely understand how frustrating it is to have people show up that close to closing but we were just ordering to go. What is the point of business hours if you don't follow them?

Very convenient in Boise for breakfast and lunch. Creative omelets and standard breakfast fare served all day. I had a club sandwich which was very good. I thought it was a little overpriced at $40 with tip for an omelet and sandwich but likely in line with local market prices. I recommend over chain restaurants.

Meh. I was expecting more from the reviews and the photos I saw. My children’s food was dry and overcooked. My food was okay. Nothing special. Probably won’t eat here again, but a great spot if you’re in the area and nothing else around sounds good. Very basic.

BLT was huge disappointment. So much mayo had to scrape it off and each half of the sandwich only had half of a slice of tomato on it . No Bueno.

This is the perfect little corner Café! The food is deliciously amazing, for a decent price, and you get great quality and good portion sizes. I'm so glad we tried it.
We got Boise's Best Ruben on marbled rye with French onion soup and a Caesar salad. I'm very particular about my Caesar salad, and this one has a dressing that is really good. It does not taste like a generic bottle like other places.
I will definitely be back for the jalapeño popper grilled cheese and tuna melt.

The biscuits and gravy were fabulous, but if you want to go with a more breakfast theme the burritos are on point. Also add hot sauce and a lime or seasoning.

Vegetarian options: Nice size veggie, egg, bean, cheese burrito for a little less spend.

Fantastic breakfast and lunch restaurant. Very impressed with the customer service. I swung by to get lunch after a major event for work and walked in excited for some good food. As I walked in, I was confused at how empty the restaurant was. I quickly realized that Roosters closes at 2:30 when I walked in at 2:28. I apologized to the employees and went to leave and get food somewhere else, but the staff went above and beyond and invited me to stay past closing. Most employees will let a customer leave in that situation, but Roosters gladly invited me back in with a smile and exceptional service. Good work guys!

I came in just after 2, right as they were preparing to close. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly welcoming and invited me to sit and eat, despite them cleaning all the tables and floors for the night. The "bomb" sandwich was amazing. It filled me up and had great flavor. I'm excited to try other things on their menu.

Fast, friendly service and fresh food. Honestly the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. I can't believe I've driven past this location for 2 years and never stopped in until today. I'll be back to try out more menu items for sure.
