You can smell the smokeed meat as you approach. Its a Small space, well staffed, good food and nice happy hour specials. I got the PBR Platter, loved the brisket and ribs. The pulled pork was a little dry. I found the greens a little under cooked and the coleslaw was bland but the pickles and pickled onions were good. It's a lot of food, so come hungry. Oh and it comes with a PBR tall boy!

This was our second brunch stop of our weekend in Boise, and this was also a great choice. Gavin was our bartender, and he gave us perfect service, while Chris was the server on duty, and he helped out with food recommendations, city recommendation, and everything in between. I had the Naked Sunbather Brown beer, and wife had a French 75, and both were worthy starts to the Sunday. For food, Chris recommended the Brisket Benedict after I gave him my laundry list of possibilities and it didn't disappoint. One thing I will say. All of the ingredients tasted high quality, but the brisket itself was a game changer. Tasted like it was cooked with extreme care. Wife had the shrimp and grits and loved the dish. The atmosphere was nice and energetic. No TV on for sports, but that is not really the experience at this place. We sat at the bar, but the table experience looked quality too. I spaced on taking additional pics of the restaurant, so sorry about that, but have included two pics of our food. The restaurant is right on 8th, so you are in the heart of everything post-meal. I highly recommend visiting here for a meal or a drink during any Boise fun, and see you there (the next time we are in Boise)...

Started with noticeably burnt hush puppies, they tasted burnt and were inedible. Ordered food when we left everyone one by one said there food wasnt very great. Right off the bat what cook sends out burnt food? so something isnt going right in the kitchen. Family was visiting from out of town wanted to try something new, disappointed in choice to go here to what should have been a nice family dinner. Wont be going back.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience with exceptional BBQ and service!

Ordered the blackened salmon with risotto. The rice was completely raw and uncooked. Not like a little bit. But completely raw.
How do you do that??? I mean really….

I consider myself an expert on the matter of hamburgers, and this place definitely makes one of the best I've personally had yet. bacon jam? I stopped asking questions when they set that plate in front of me and laid eyes on my burger. The fries were decent and the fry sauce was a bit lacking but definitely nothing to shy away from. Service was fantastic, our waitress was kind and responsive. Atmosphere was great as well, not a place for a unplanned large gathering of over 6 i'd say though.

Great food that melts in your mouth with perfectly rendered fat. A little pricy average meal is 30-40 dollars but it's enough to fill you till you're bursting.
Chicken had a perfect crunch and then melts in your mouth. Brisket had perfectly rendered fat and was super delectable.

Tucked away off of 8th street, this place delivers some of the best food in Boise. Service is always spot on and the food is unbelievable. This is a must try spot if you have never been!

I went there with my family to celebrate Father’s Day’s for my son and my daughter-in-law’s Father. There were 5 adults, 1 toddler and a baby. Service was very fast! The appetizer with sausage and pickle platter was delicious and I highly recommend. We all enjoyed it! I had the bbq sandwich with the sauce on the side. I have never had a sauce like that before and I just came from Texas. If you don’t sell it by the jar, you may consider it. It was the best I have ever had and I am usually not a big fan of sauces. I tried the potato salad off of my son’s plate and know I will order it for myself next time.
For the amount of people at our table, our waiter was very attentive and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. He was friendly and very accommodating for the three yr old.
I will definitely be going back. I know if I have visitors, this will be one of the places I will have to take them to! Great food, atmosphere and service! Depending on if you get an entree or one of their delicious sandwiches will determine the cost of your meal.
