Update: My wife and I brought my brother visiting from CA, along with our daughter. It was about 4 pm. We had an excellent server, a young woman that was cheerful and took good care of us. The food, as always, was delicious. We will keep on coming back.
A friend recommended we try Sockeye Grill and Brewery. We came about 11:30 on a Saturday morning. We were seated right away but soon after the place began filling up.
It is located on Fairview just inside the Boise city limits, east of Eagle Drive. The decor is very rustic cabinish, with lots of light wood and accompanying wall hangings. Plenty of parking.
Our server was Lisa, and she did a great job of taking care of us, friendly, helpful, and attentive. We both had the burger with sweet potato fries, and the burger was very good. I wished that the fries were a little crispier, but they were tasty nonetheless. In addition, I had a hazy IPA that was yummy, and my wife had a bowl of clam chowder that was delicious.
Great food, excellent service, and fun atmosphere. We are already planning our next visit.

Haven’t visited Boise in 18 months. Had to go to Sockeye for their finger steaks. What a disappointment. Both the finger steaks and sweet potato fries were overcooked. Meat was so tough you couldn’t bite through it.

Great food, beer.. and wine! The Chicken Comfort Bowl was delicious as is the Sockeye Salmon Club. Our service was great as well. Thomas and Gina were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

I have been going to the sockeye since they were on Cole and have recommend them many times. Tonight is the first time I’ve been disappointed with the food. I ordered a to go order of hot wings, side Cesar salad, fries and a pretzel. The fries were cold, they didn’t give me dressing for the salad and they didn’t give me sauce for the wings or utensils to eat with. I would have gone back in to ask for these things but I didn’t realize I was missing the items until I got home in Boise. Unfortunately for me, I’m in process of moving and don’t have the things I need to eat my to go order with. :(

Such a let down, have been coming here over the years and always loved their finger steaks but this time they bland greasy and hard to finish, my wife got the salmon bites and was disappointed as well. It’s sad when businesses get bigger their quality always seems to go down.

Every other time I open up a 6 pack that you have the plastic rings over the mouth piece, it always pulls the tops open or one will fall out of the plastic so I'm barely getting a full 6 pk at a time. Can you please start putting it in a box like everyone else

It has been awhile since I came back to sockeye. We were craving finger steaks, but unfortunately it looks like they changed the recipe. It wasn’t nice and meaty, more of a stripped steak that came out of the breading when bitten into. The salmon strips were the best one. It was meaty and has a great balance of salmon and breading. Service was attentive and great. Kids enjoyed their kids meals.
Good food, prices, and great service. We were a party of 6, and our server never missed a beat.

Had a great experience here. Every restaurant I go to, I review the nachos. These nachos are a killer deal. $15 for an 8in×12in platter of nachos that were a 9/10, but only because I'm sure I'll find something better eventually. Up until now though, that hasn't happened. Nice atmosphere, good service, chairs are squeaky when they move though (not that you'll be moving a bunch.)
