The Chef's Hut Reviews
We have been actively trying to try Chef's Hut. The reviews appear good, and the menu was appealing. We tried to go last weekend, to find an hour wait time ahead of us. Understandable, as it's a Sunday, and the location is very small. Ultimately we decided to go somewhere with a shorter wait time. My husband and I tried again today, Sunday. He called ahead to be told they won't add to the waitlist over the phone and there were 9 families already waiting. Again, understandable,...read full review
Had breakfast this morning at at The Chef's Hut. I had no idea this restaurant was even here. I must say it was such a great experience. Loved the atmosphere, and the decorations were so cool. Wait staff was on point, our coffee was always full. Food came out quickly even though the place was busy. I had the eye opener for breakfast and I must say it was some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. The rest of the food was top notch as well. If you want great food do yourself...read full review
Our son is a student at Boise state and we were here for the parents weekend! Our hotel breakfast was yucky. We googled a breakfast place and found Chefs Hut.
We just had breakfast there this morning and it was SO GOOD!!! Our breakfast was mostly omelettes, coffee and orange juice. The best service and closest to home made meals!
We highly recommend Chef Huts for breakfast but I am sure their brunch is just as good. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!.

The Chef's Hut is a hidden gem that serves "darn good real people food" in a welcoming atmosphere. This breakfast and lunch spot, often unassuming, offers amazing dishes like cinnamon rolls, biscuit and gravy, and perfect waffles at an affordable price. The breakfast experience is highlighted by the eye opener and delicious pork chops, which are tender and juicy. The coffee is always full, and the food comes out quickly even when the place is busy. The staff is super friendly, with some customers recommending seeking out Shelly for excellent service. The old-school decor adds to the charm, making it a great spot for families. Generous portions, friendly staff, and good service are common praises. The hash browns are crispy, and the bacon is well-cooked, adding to the satisfying breakfast. The dining area is small, but customers enjoy sharing tables and having delightful conversations with others. The cinnamon rolls are a decent price, and the country scramble is delicious. Located in a warehouse area, the restaurant is clean with plenty of parking and easy to get to. Inside, it has an old-fashioned feel and a cozy, tight space that works well. Many guests say it's the best biscuits & gravy in the treasure valley, with fresh biscuits and just the right amount of gravy. The cinnamon rolls are also highly recommended. Overall, with great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere, The Chef's Hut continues to be a favorite for both new visitors and regulars.
