The only thing negative that I should mention is that we paid for the Valentine's diamond experience and initially when they seated us the area was not prepared correctly for that experience.
However, they completely made up for it and the service was fantastic, the foot was amazing, and I would highly recommend anyone to go here. This was a wonderful experience with my husband and we will definitely send people here if they have a special date to plan. XOXO Thank you for making it our valentine's special.

Came for myself and my husbands wedding anniversary. Service was exceptional and atmosphere was calm. On the other hand the food was not as tasteful. I asked my server which cheese fondue they recommended for someone who didn't like sharp bold cheese. The one he recommended was exactly that, it was distasteful. Me and my husband didn't eat any of it and it was expensive. The duck and chicken tasted foul and rotten. The dessert was delicious though, I'm just disappointed in the rest of the experience and wish I had gotten to try a different fondue.
Delicious and fun. Our wait staff smelled of cigarettes tho.

We visited for Valentine’s Day and chose a package deal, but since it was our first time, we didn’t know what to expect. Unfortunately, we weren’t given the special menu that came with our package and only realized later that we should have had it.
Service was slow—about 10 minutes passed before anyone even brought water or took our drink orders, making us feel forgotten. While our server was friendly, they didn’t explain the meat course, how to cook it, or what to do, so we had to figure it out on our own. Water refills were also lacking—I only had mine refilled once in two hours, and my girlfriend’s wasn’t refilled until the very end when we had to visibly place her empty glass at the edge of the table.
When the check arrived, no one came back to process it, so we ended up paying online because we couldn’t find anyone.
The food was good, and I can see how the experience could be enjoyable under better circumstances. However, given the service issues and the overall frustration, I wish we had chosen a different place for a romantic evening.

We dined on Valentine’s Day evening, and were treated wonderfully by the hostesses and our server. Needless to say, it was a busy evening and we had to wait for our table 20 minutes past our reservation. The hostess brought us a flute of champagne while we waited. Once at our table, KIMBALL W was an exceptional server. He chatted easily with us as he prepared our wine and various courses throughout the meal. Kimball W even brought us a rose that was missing from the bouquet that was provided with the “Diamond” dining experience. Kimball was attentive to us, without interrupting, bringing sauce dipper refills, filling water glasses, and letting us know he was there if we needed him. Thank you Kimball W and the staff at the Boise Melting Pot. We had a memorable Valentine’s Day dining experience!

I've been to France, and I must say the Fondue is almost spot on. This restaurant is phenomenal. Ignore the bad reviews here.
I would say, to be honest, the price was a tad high, but the food/ service experience made up for it.
Our server, Eric, did a phenomenal job and deserves praise. Kindness was genuine and not fake, very chill and cooked extremely well.
Me and my wife will be happily coming back!

Way over priced. $200 for an experience for 2 is forgivable if the food is to die for, but it was just good. Bits of it were great.
Expect to be there a LONG time. It takes as long for them to bring you your next course as if they started cooking it when you finished the last. The funny part is, they're not even cooking the food.
We paid for 2 hours of parking and ended up having to extend it another hour because of how long the service took.
When you're done and you think back on it, you realize that you could buy your own fondue pot and hot plate and all the ingredients yourself for less than the meal you just paid for and you'd be able to do it again and again because now you have your own fondue pot.
Heck, you can even throw in their cookbook, and you literally have the restaurant experience.
I could have gone and prepped the food myself in the time between courses, so next time I will, at home, for cheaper.
If you're dying to go, 1 cheese fondue, 1 entree, and 1 desert is still enough to feed 2 people, and it will only cost you two arms and one leg rather than all four limbs.
I can buy a week of groceries for the same 2 people for less than one meal at this restaurant.
Not recommended.

This might be my first time ever leaving a review but I felt I had to because I wanted to like this place bad. The food wasn’t great & having to cook my own food was confusing. Didn’t feel like there was enough food or quality of food to have spent $150. Really wanted to love this place

Waaaay over priced. Our meat was mediocre meaning lots of grizzle and un-eatable bits. Also the grill kept turning off so keeping it hot enough to cook our food was super annoying. We were hoping for something delicious and fun but left disappointed. We won’t be back. : (

So, if you have never tried melting pot, I'm going to suggest that you do if you are a cheese lover, because their cheese is absolutely amazing , however, the service really is lacking in alot of their customer service reps. we frequent this place at least once a month if if not more ,because it is so good and they do have a happy hour from 4 to 6 PM where you can get half price cheese pots. But just be cautious because you're going to deal with some rude people. They have a bartender named Samantha heaven forbid that you should ask her for anything. She will absolutely let you know that you are an imposition and you're taking up her precious time. And then she will go and talk about you to other customers, and sit and laugh when the other customer starts making fun of you . Wonderful wonderful individual. They also Have somebody by the name of Mallory who is a server she likes to yell at her customers and then doesn't even come back to the table, she Lets somebody else bring you your check and finish up whatever else you might need. But there are a couple of individuals there that were absolutely amazing. One is named Fawn. And the other is new , her name is Kimberly. Both of these individuals are absolutely amazing. They take care of their customers and are very pleasant in doing it . so if you want to get some amazing food and have amazing service, I suggest you ask for Fawn or Kimberly there could possibly be other servers that are good as well. We just have not encountered them yet. Anyways, once again, the food is absolutely amazing and they do accommodate your likes and dislikes.
Vegetarian options: They absolutely 100% vegetarian options. I would say the vegetarian options are more prevalent than the meat.
Dietary restrictions: What is really great about this restaurant is they keep your information in the computer so when you come in the server is able to see what your likes are and what your dislikes are or if you are allergic to anything

Honestly. I wouldn't go here. The atmosphere and service are wonderful but the food itself is mid at best. It's novel to cook it in the pot yourself but overall it just ends up as a bunch of par-cooked pieces of meat and vegetables with no real flavor or enjoyment. There are plenty of places with a similar price point that taste better and feel just as good

Did a first time Fondue here, just want to see how it works. Very cozy environment and awesome services, a great vibe for a later-stage date or anniversary (maybe a little too much for a first date IMHO). Foods are great and in a lot of options, also many additional romantic services are prepared per your choice. I’d say you come here 90% for the experience, 10% to fill your stomach, and of course you need to prepare your wallet for this amazing journey.

My husband and I went here last year (2023) for our anniversary and had reserved a lovers experience dinner for 2, I think it was around 175$ at the time. It was absolutely lovely with a private booth, rose bouquet/petals on the table. 5 course meal and we also ordered a couple drinks. This year we decided to reserve the same thing and it was 225$. The experience had less food, not as many options and the area that we were sat in was extremely hot with no air flow. (This is in December) I was sweating my butt off and had to go outside to cool down twice. So ultimately we paid 50$ more for less of an experience than the first time only 1 year ago. The process also felt a bit more rushed, we were only there for a little over an hour whereas the first time it was a 2-3 hour dinner. Overall the service and food was alright, but definitely not worth the price tag. Disappointed for spending over 300$ for 2 people after all was said and done. Will probably not be dining here again in the future.
