The Refuge Restaurant & Lounge

We showed up after the lunch rush with a large party of 12, asking if we could have a quick turnaround because we ran late from hiking and we were due at a college volleyball tourney in a short time span. Keala was our server and getting a large group served in NO TIME is a rare experience! We were treated so kindly, with smiles and a "can-do" spirit. Our food order was accurate, tasty, and SUPER timely! It was nothing short of remarkable service - HIGHLY recommend this place and we were blown away with Keala and how her team delivered on their promise! Well done!

Food was ok, the finger steaks I found extremely disappointing but the service was outstanding the fish and
chips was good. But the salad was almost all toppings and barely any lettuce. This was a to-go order so I will try them again but next time I will dine in. I'm usually extremely selective but since they had such an amazing staff I will return

"I sat at a table by the bar during the lunch rush and was immediately impressed by the level of service. PJ was engaging a guest about cooking when he noticed I hadn't been greeted yet (even though I hadn't been there long). While still conversing with the other guest about a dish the gentleman was preparing for dinner, PJ effortlessly multitasked, looking over his shoulder to ask what I would like to drink. BJ promptly brought my drink within seconds and took my order, which was for takeout. Despite knowing I wouldn't be dining in, BJ's service remained impeccable.

Having been in this industry for 30 years, I can say that this level of attentive and seamless service is a rare find in a restaurant!!

Till today, you were my favorite local pub! I wanted to watch my team on TV today, the server offered to change one to that channel but the manager snidely said that it would be changed. Every TV on the same game? not friendly. Not nice. I will miss the Refuge.

JP sets the vibe for this place. He was an excellent server and made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. Pesto fettuccine was amazing, as was the Gyro.

Service was quick, great attitude, attentive, and friendly.
The food was excellent. I had the roast lamb dip and my wife had the Cuban sandwich. We were both delighted with our choices.
Drinks were also great. I got the Maker's Manhattan, wife got their house Mule. They both seemed to be blended excellently.
The atmosphere was lively, filled with a pleasant buzz of conversation and some (thankfully not overpowering) music. It was light and clean.
Overall a wonderful experience and will visit again.

This place serves an amazing Reuben sandwich! The corned beef was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese on perfectly toasted marble rye bread. The fries were crispy and golden, and the dipping sauce was a nice touch. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal. Definitely recommend trying it!
