Great cocktails, great atmosphere, and the best part is that the bar tender was not pretentious at all, and was happy to talk about the makeup of the drinks and other things. Granted, it wasn't a busy night, but still.

Had 8:45 reservations. Arrived early @ 8:30 & were told seating wouldn’t be ready for 20 minutes. Went next door to Bar Please & returned @ 8:50 & were promptly seated. Each of us ordered a drink & shared a charcuterie plate. Server came back to the table @ 9:30 prior to us finishing our first drinks & asked if we wanted to order another drink as our “reservation time” was ending. When I questioned the timing of this she said “I’m just doing what I’m told & I’ll check on it.” We never did receive an explanation & it was an overall extremely awkward experience. We love the place & have been many times & we’ll definitely return. Maybe it was just an off night.

They got the door opened for them and we wanted to ask a question to whoever opened the door for them. As we tried to ask the woman rudely just said “talk through the phone” and slammed the door shut on us. It was extremely rude. Our server Siena was nice but whoever the girl with dark hair was that was serving last night was just so nasty and rude that it definitely put us off. It was a cool bar but not that cool to be treating people like that. If people are trying to figure out how to get inside, why not try being nice and helpful instead of snobby and rude. Drinks were just whatever, too small and overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend overall. So many other cool bars in Boise that aren’t gnna treat you like that!

my partner and i like to think we can handle our liquor. we were in the mood for an easy-going night because we had a long drive the next day and the cat was in the yurt, but much to our surprise, we found no such thing here. akin to one of my reoccurring hallucinations, i picked up a payphone to dial the establishment for entry. after making the call to enter, a door hidden in the mirror wall opened and we were invited in. we were seated at a nook next to the out-of-use fireplace with large, white candles - possibly fake. having said that, i'm no stranger to mystery or delight, so i was well-conditioned to handle things. but, i did say that we were in search of something easy-going. there are tricks here. glow-in-the-dark trinkets given to illuminate secret concoctions also available from the menu. and the bathroom is stocked with mint chocolates, fortune cookies and mint-flavored life savers. if i remember correctly, we both ingested two drinks each. and yes, of course, traded sips of each other's selections. as luck would have it, all four drinks were very enjoyable and to our satisfaction, or exceeded expectations. one was full of eggs, pistachios and olive oil - enchanting! the human who saw to our delights was also our age.

(from a bartender) first time going and actually drinking! this place is incredible. the level of curation is so impressive, not even just talking about the drinks. the interior design, the choices of glassware, little snacks with some drinks…incredible. beautiful inside, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, killer bartenders, great playlist. the snacks…charcuterie board and salted pistachio donuts…girl dinner. they knew i was coming. no notes. oh and the drinks!! i had a no.9 with plum sauce and one of the secret drinks. both were delightful. so tasty, well balanced, beautiful to look at too. if i drank more than a few times a year i’d be here a lot. feeling inspired! so cool the amount of effort that goes into everything. all the prep, etc. please tip them 50%

The drinks were well crafted. People rave about the doughnuts, but we found them to be lacking and tasted like old-fashioned doughnuts. Service was attentive. I will go again.
