I hate that I'm going to have to give Toasted it's first low review. I hoped so bad to enjoy eating here, but my experience fell way below my expectations. I first learned about Toasted from a couple other foodie friends who had recommended I try it out. Some liked it, others said it was okay. No one ever said anything too horribly bad, so I decided to bring my husband a couple months ago while we were downtown looking for a quick, small bite to eat.I'll start with what I liked. The toast itself was very good. The avocado and hummus on both toasts were very fresh. I enjoyed the pickled cherry peppers very much. They added a sweet, satisfying zi to the toast. If my tastebuds were giving this review, 5 stars for sure. However there were other factors that contributed to today's 2 star rating. The eatery was not busy, it was a chilly Saturday afternoon and we were the only people to arrive. I'm not sure what was on the dude's mind, but I didn't find him very welcoming. He didn't even acknowledge us when we walked in. He saw us, for sure, then walked away. Not even a smile. That was the first star lost. Second, the toast ain't cheap. I get that this is a very new concept, and it takes time and resources to make fresh, organic ingredients that taste good. However, I thought $7 for some toast was very spendy. Especially since there wasn't much of everything on the toast. Third, Toasted is great if all you're looking for is a small snack that might hold you over for a couple hours. But if you're hungry, you'll need more than one order. It's pretty much a snack. So that, in combination with the price, knocked another couple stars off. Again, I really had high hopes for Toasted despite the feedback, but it just didn't slap. So I probably won't be returning. I'd only recommend if you want to try out the new concept. And I bet the guy working was nice, maybe he was just having bad day? I sure hope it wasn't the owner. Oh well. I am hoping this review isn't too curt. I'm just being honest.

Great food. Very niche. Expensive, but excellent ingredients. Don't go to fill up. Hope the place survives.

I popped in today to get some VEGAN toast and oh boy am I glad I did! The person working was so kind, helpful and had my toast done so fast! As for the TOAST! Mama I was so happy. It is most definitely the best avocado toast in town! The recipe maintains the integrity of the fruit while creating depth of flavor with acidity, salt, nuttiness and texture! Plus they had edible FLOWERS! It was an insta moment and a delicious bite, hard to say for some of the surrounding "hot" spots! At seven dollars per plate (I think) this place is a must go to! (PLUS PLUS PLUS) they have 25+ selections of snake river tea! Downtown Boise is lucky to have this VEGAN toast spot

Ventured in today for lunch during a break in the rain. Had never been there before. Ordered the Avocado Toast and was a little worried that it might not be enough. Well, I was wrong. It was excellent made with fresh ingredients, great bread and delivered with warm and friendly service. A small but very nice atmosphere made the whole experience worth the trip. I will go back. Highly recommend.

Toasted was so amazing! In short, my husband and I split avocado toast and hummus toast, both of which were so delicious. The toast itself was crispy yet fluffy. Will definitely be going back

Toasted is by far Boise’s best toast and vegan experience! The chef paid very close attention to detail and put a lot of passion and love into the dishes! The ingredients are always high quality and very fresh. The Mushroom Road Trip was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten- absolutely sensational!! If I could, I would eat there every day?

I was excited for this place to open the moment I started seeing Facebook/Instagram posts. The food looked aesthetically pleasing and healthy alternatives for breakfast food were offered. I was hesitant, though, for how creative and unique toast could be. Since the opening of this place, we have been back almost 6 times, and EVERY TIME we come here, we are absolutely blown away at the true artisan of flavors and style of the toast pieces the owner has created. He truly has a special talent for creating flavors that work well together and textures that match perfectly. I am beyond impressed with the menu items that the owner is able to create - the toasts are truly a work of art! If you haven’t been to Toasted, you’re missing out. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend stopping by. I am excited to see what else the owner has to offer!

The Win-Gnuyen Situation was delicious and tasty! Many different textures and flavors made up this delicious vegan sandwich. Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu. So many intriqueing choices to choose from.

Cute place. Shares the same space as Guru Donuts in the Idanha Hotel in downtown Boise.

Loved this little spot! Good place for a quick and healthy bite. They have a small menu with fresh, quality ingredients. My favorite was the Benedict cucumber batch.

Every bite is a journey. Brad puts love and care into each dish. The flavors are surprising and always consistently delicious. Brad is excited to share his creations. Take his recommendations! The ambiance is a perfect fit for the casual, family-style dining experience. It's like dropping in on your dad's place for a bite. Comfy couches complete the place. Sink into one of those and wrap your lips around the Marco Polo or Idaho Tater toast. And dont forget to ask for the Easy Cheesy upgrade! Love, love, LOVE this place!
