Sad to hear you closed. My wife and I have been customers since the late 90s. The entire family of workers there did an absolute fantastic job of preparing meals. I noticed there were many take out orders but we preferred to dine in. We felt comfortable eating in.

We love Top Wok. We are at the point where they know it is us by our take-out order.

I have come here for quite some time now. We often order Chinese when we have family nights at my parents. My parents are extremely personable and often get to know restaurant owners and the people who work there, so they had told me this particular company was looking to sell or move on from their business for a while. My mom kinda noticed a mood shift in the restaurant when she went in to get her food and the woman behind the register said rather forcefully, "it's not ready SIT down." We laughed about it; everyone gets grumpy sometimes. Tonight I drove to pick up the food my dad ordered for family night: I walked in and let the woman at the register (same person my mom had encountered) know I was picking up food. She had her headphones in. She took them out and got the check from the kitchen. I paid and sat down. As they were closing, there were no customers, so I thought it might be fine to continue watching the Gamer Guide I was watching on YouTube. Normally I wouldn't do that, but she had headphones and again, no one was in the restaurant. Suddenly she asked me if I often listened to my phone in public. I responded and let her know not normally. She then tried her best to explain in English that it's not normally nice to listen to something on a phone in public. So I said, "oh, are you asking me to turn my phone off?" In so many condescending words she said yeah. I apologized and let her know since there was no one in the restaurant I thought it would be fine, and then she yelled, "am I not a person?" Her anger went up so immediately I responded... "Listen, you could have just asked me to begin with to just turn it off." She yelled back, "that's what I'm doing right now!" She then smiled at me like I was an idiot, and turned back to the register. I'm perfectly fine apologizing and admitting to something I did wrong, I'm NOT fine with being treated like a child, and being yelled at by a passive aggressive disgruntled store owner. I'm also not fine with my parent's being treated rudely after their continual support of the restaurant. We're done ordering from them. We enjoyed the food, but we're all through with their poor treatment of customers.

Ordered for takeout. We have searched for a great hot and sour soup. This is the best we have found in Boise. Egg rolls were delicious as well. Definitely will come back. An added bonus is the owners are long time Boise people. Very friendly.

The curry was terrible, some weird gravy version of it. Small amount of chicken with lots of sliced onions. Service was fine.

Ordered several items for pick up this evening as a last minute "I'm too tired to make something" decision. Beef with broccoli, orange chicken, shrimp with vegetables, pork and veggie fried rice, fried shrimp and crab rangoon apps, and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was mentioned in previous reviews as being great and it did not disappoint! And as the "daily soup" option it was cheap too. Everything we had was really good, our kids loved the orange chicken and fried shrimp (the shrimp had a slight sweetness to it possibly coconut - we all liked it). While my husband enjoyed his shrimp with vegetables he said he would probably try a different shrimp dish with spice next time. The beef with broccoli was one of the better versions of this dish that I've had (my daughter liked this one as well). Also, it should be mentioned that the woman who helped me check out was very nice and double checked my order for accuracy without being asked to. Great experience/food, will definitely be back!

Kind of my "Go To" lunch special stop from when I worked very near there (Retired 2.5 years ago), so have been many many times. I have observed that that it not so consistent there days - I should say that I always get the lunch special (usually to go). Most recent trip is just a "Poor" because the Sweet & Sour Chicken was obviously sitting under a heat lamp for a long time (NOT FRESH COOKED) - The Fried Rice was also sitting around for a while as it was starting to get hard. The egg roll was way under cooked and I gave up eating after just a few bites. And no Sweet / Sour Sauce for the egg roll (Well, I know the family that runs this place does not give you ANYTHING extra). On the good side, the Fortune cookie was good - Price was good for a lunch special ($6.25 for take out - Seems like I paid over $7 at the cash register - Perhaps they charge a take out fee ? Well, I will not give up - as when they get everything right and cooked fresh it is 5+ stars !

Make sure not to ask for any substitutes on your order because they will not do it. They also monitor how much red chili paste you use on your food. They didn't even let me put some on my food, they had to scoop it on. So weird. I will never eat here again over chili paste. Hope it was worth losing a frequent customer over a spoon full of chili paste.

My family and I have been eating here for years. The food is great, the service is excellent, and overall just a nice place to go.

Great food at a great price, you get a lot of food for what you order. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Selections were bland, corn chowder soup doesn't seem very Asian. Service was excellent. Will try again with a different choice of food.
