You’ll have the pleasure of mingling with the most racist, hateful, ignorant bunch of regular patrons in all of Boise, in an environment that reeks of nostalgia of the “good ‘ol days”. This cozy bench bar is even clad with segregation signs on their walls to make you feel even more comfortable and part of the group. You can have the opportunity to gang up on people who you believe don’t belong in the bar and verbally and physically assault them because, well, you’re a racist, homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic bigot and you’ll likely get away with it. If you’re me, then you didn’t feel safe in this establishment and you feared for the safety of those you care about. If you’re me, you’ll stay away from this place as if your life depended on it. There are plenty of other great local bench bars nearby that don’t promote or enact hate. I’ll be finding myself someplace new. I’d rather drive across the street to the new Here’s How Public House (they have lots of games, better beers on tap, great staff, and chili dogs) or drive a small distance to Overland Bar, where I know I’ll always be treated well.
I was born in Boise and have never had a more terrifying experience in a local establishment. Vista Bar is not my neighborhood bar.

Been wanting to visit this place. Asked the bartender and she said it used to be to be a chicken place to eat there. It’s very unique and the back yard patio was wonderful with a standing heater.

We had a wonderful party in honor of our younger brother who passed away and we can't thank his friends enough for loving him as much as we did, his bar buddies and golfing buddies did this special party "Wake" For Him!! 5 Gold Stars to everyone!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We don't usually do bars, but a neighbor of ours was performing there. We were pleasantly surprised to see that most of the folks there were seniors. Not sure if that was because of the band, but it was nice to have people our age around.

It's not the most exciting place in town. But, you can play some horse shoes in the back. Friendly bar tenders. Pretty boring atmosphere. Competitive drink prices. Live music (most aren't very good). If you're just looking for a normal neighborhood bar to kill some time and have a few beers. This may be right up your alley. I have to backtrack a little. About the live bands. The handful of times I have been in there have started off pretty good. It'll be actually pretty busy and a good atmosphere. But as soon as the bands come out, people dip out. And I have heard people say that the music sucks. They're gonna go to another place. Then, all of a sudden, there's nobody to be seen except a few people that came with the band. That's not a good look.
Parking: The parking lot is rather small. And it's attached to the bad boy burger. But you can go a couple blocks away and park at Quinns.

Not bad, it's alright, i came in for gambling but maybe they hired new stuffs and it has been change alot. But everything is all good.
Definitely a great dive bar! They have a good selection of 10+ different beers. There are a couple pool tables. They have weekly music performances that are both cool and mildly annoying if you are just coming there for a drink after work. The bartenders are friendly and sassy in the best way! They are also quick to serve you!

Darts, ping pong, billiards, and even pinball machines ignite friendly competition, while the laid-back bartender keeps the drinks flowing and conversation lively. Bonus points for the welcoming regulars who make you feel like part of the gang instantly. Vista Uptown Bar isn't fancy, but it's the kind of place where authenticity shines and memories are made.

They must have a happy hour until 6:00. My vodka drink was around $5 !! Then everyone just got up and left at 6 !! I didn't order another drink so I don't know for sure. Maybe just a coincidence. The bartender asked me my order right away. I didnt order anything to eat and didnt see anyone eating. I did like this dive bar. Good juke box and I like this type of atmosphere much better than sitting alone at a bar where drinks cost $20 !! I would definitely come back!!
