Lied to me on the phone about being open, drove there and the doors were locked.

Awesome little chicken place! They have lots of options for everyone! They offer oven baked chicken as well as fried chicken. They will ask if you want "wings" or "drums". Don't let it confuse you. The wings are the small pieces you expect when you hear wings, but it also includes the small "drumstick" looking piece as well. When they offer you "drums", those are the large pieces of chicken you expect from kfc. Their chicken is juicy and lightly crisped to perfection! The coleslaw and pickled radishes that come with it are tiny portions, so I suggest getting a side order if you want more. Great servers and will definitely be back!

Best chicken in town, let alone best Korean joint. Don't hesitate, just dine. Everything here is a slam dunk

It's great fresh HOT CHICKEN with great flavor.. But.. Not for its price. If the price comes down to a slightly more reasonable price I'd probably visit monthly.. But for now it's a special treat only type situation.

Vons Chicken is operated inside and by the same lovely people of Mr. Wok. The people that run this joint are so friendly and make everyone feel like family. I love it when the older man comes out from the back and asks us about our meal and I'm able to speak a little Korean to him. I studied abroad in South Korea and ate a lot of fried chicken while I was there and the chicken here takes me back to those times. FUN FACT: There are more mom and pop chicken spots like this in Korea than there are McDonald's in the world. Koreans love fried chicken because of how well they do it! Vons in particular has great cuts of chicken that keeps juicy throughout the double fry process. The quality of chicken is really whats sets this place apart from any other fried chicken joint. You can order either half a chicken or whole chicken and you have a choice of which cuts of chicken you want if you are particular about that. I usually order 2 half orders of chicken so I can have 2 different types of sauces and that is enough for 2-3 people. My favorite is the garlic chicken, it has a nice sweet and savory garlic glaze but the crunchy-ness from the fried chicken is never lost. I also really like the honey-butter fried chicken which gives off "chicken and waffles" vibes with the sweetness. If you're ordering fried chicken for a family with kids or you're just not into spicy foods- the garlic and honey butter chickens are gonna be your best bet. The yangnyum chicken is a classic Korean fried chicken sauce that is both spicy and sweet. It has lots of bold flavors and definitely worth trying if you can handle a little spice. I have ordered online, called in my order for pick-up, and dined-in. All processes were super easy and efficient so whatever way you decide to order your Vons fried chicken it will be a good experience.

Insanely good food! Downright addictive and much healthier than other "fast" food options.

Unbelievably good wings. Amazing service.

Service was slow and food was okay - definitely not worth what you pay. It’s quantity over quality.I’m likely to re-visit ... but wouldn’t be rushing back anytime soon.

This review is purely for the ramen which is not one of their staple items. I almost didn't leave a review since leaving a review on a menu item that isn't a standard item doesn't seem fair. However, there isn't much on here about the ramen so I thought future patrons might want to know more. In short- it's ok, but not great. The portion is generous. I got my food to go. It comes with a large container of broth then a separate container of the ad ins. Mine came with pork, noodles, basil and jalapeños. The broth was spicy and flavorful. Everything else was bland. I'm not a ramen noodle officianado, but they seem like packaged instant noodles. I also like my ramen to be stuffed with add ins. I'd like more vegetables, maybe a soft boiled egg, etc. It warmed me up on a cold day but I'll definitely just try the Korean fried chicken next time.

I use the GrubHub take-out feature for my order today, which works out really well because it takes about a half an hour for them to prepare your meal. I got the whole chicken in their Korean sauce which was spicy, but not a face melter. I like the fact that even though you do take out, and it has a sauce on it the breading is still relatively Crispy. It's king of a sweet-spicy flavor and the chicken is moist and tender when you bite into it. Give it a go!

Oh man. This place with the very delicious chicken. Had the best tasting. Will be back many times

Very good chicken, super crispy outside and moist inside with a flavorful sauce (I got the mild on the side). The mandoo (potstickers) were very good too. Overall a little pricey, but for a unique flavor it's worth it.

When I’m at Von’s, the service and food are great. I love their fried chicken. My gripe is that I can never get a hold of them when I call. The phone is either always busy or goes to voicemail. If they answered the phone, I would have made this five stars.

As a Korean, I am always delighted when it comes to KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and I was blown away at the place like Vons Chicken located in Boise! The hype was real and the taste was amazing. The garlic and soy sauced chicken was super light texture crisp and breading, and was perfectly cooked. The Yuk Gae Jang we ordered was awesome as well, with perfect spicyness. I would recommend this place to anyone in or stopping by Boise, and would be happy if Vons Chicken as a chain to opened up anywhere else in the country.
