For the very first time ever today I had a shaved prime rib sandwich minus the grilled onions. The bread is Franz not to keen on non local products. The sandwich would be so much better if it was fresh. Half of a handful of the shaved prime rib was stuck to the paper. Why would you wrap a hot sandwich with Swiss cheese on it in paper. Aluminum foil would be superb. The mayo horseradish was supreme. For $18.08 why is the sandwich so small? The lady at the drive thru was a looker for sure and she was cool. Didn’t know where the bread was from until she described the truck and that is how identified the non local bakery it had come from. The sandwich could have been better if I wouldn’t have had to peel it off the paper and worry if I was going to swallow paper too. The size itself lacked meaning and the portion of prime rib was a little dull. Chef Lou if you are a local restaurant why don’t you buy locally and fresh bread and support the community just as we have all supported you.

Hot fresh delicious food. Friendly service. Nostalgic drive-thru style restaurant that was featured on DDD. What more can you ask for on a sunny afternoon.

I had the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. It was a 6-napkin hamburger. So good! Generous size, bacon perfectly cooked. And less than $10. Amazing! Lots of other menu items to come back for: milkshakes, fish and chips, curly fries and onion rings, meatloaf and prime rib sandwiches. Outdoor seating, so dress accordingly or plan to eat in your car.

Having never been to a Westside Drive in before... and having lived in the valley (Nampa) since 2006, I figured it was time. I AM SO GLAD I DID! I think I have found ... quite possibly ... the best tasting french fry ... for sure in the valley ... but quite possible, that I've EVER eaten. No kidding. They were that good. And what is crazy is they were only luke-warm by the time I got to them. I 'AM' going back... and I 'WILL' request a fresh out of the oil batch of fries an I am anticipating them to just be... best. They are that good. The burger was very tasty too (I tried their smash burger). I want to try their bacon cheeseburger next.

Only thing I'd advise is... Pipe in some 50's or 60s music on medium. Recapture some good nostalgia.

Obviously the ice cream potato is the signature here, but they also have a pretty impressive menu for the size of the place. It was my first time having a monte cristo and I thought it was pretty good too.
Really great. Food was delicious There are some flies around the trash and the counter. Took a little for the food to come out. The potato Ice cream was tasty but mostly just vanilla ice cream. Really enjoyed going there and hope you do too.

My partner and I happened to pass through Boise on our car camping trip across America, and we’re so glad we stopped in! Everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and came out so quickly. 10/10 — we’d definitely come back if we’re ever in Boise again! 🤟🏼

Ok, my wife had it planned, and we dropped our bags in the hotel, and she said she knew exactly where we were going to get our first food. My wife is brilliant. I LOVED this place. You need to be in the mood for naughty eats and not classy tablecloth places when you go. If you do that, this place is gold. Apparently, we HAD to try the Finger Steaks, and the baked potato thing. The Finger Steaks were delicious, and probably not low fat. I loved them, and plenty of sauces around for the fries. Even that piece of bread in the picture was tasty. Now to the potato. To be honest, we weren't even sure before we went and when we ordered if the potato was an actual potato, a potato with ice cream on it, or other. It ended up being magical ice cream all around. It was one of those desserts where I ate smaller bites because I knew I would be sad when it was gone. I was right. I WAS sad when it was gone. We debated on making time in our short trip to go back for it, but she won that conversation unfortunately. Anyway, you NEED to stop by here at some point. I highly recommend, and see you there (the next time we are in Boise)...
