Employees were helpful and quickly prepared food. The bowl is hands down one of the worst ever. It’s barely a minimum for quality. Get a frozen bowl at the grocery. The taste is lacking and vegetables are minimal. Rice and noodles are less than tasteful. Don’t waste your money.

I can't believe I haven't rated this place already! I come here almost every week around Tuesday or Wednesday at lunchtime. It is my favorite place to get lunch. Super delicious! I recommend beef bento with ginger soy sauce on noodles! So good!

So delicious! The restaurant I crave the most in Boise - there's just nothing else like it. Zen Salad or Chicken Bowl - the ginger-soy sauce is divine. Now that we don't work downtown it is difficult to get there but we try to make it work! I'd loved a West Bench location! Maybe the Asian Plaza at Cole/Ustick? Fast, quality and the best chicken you'll ever have.

The food is fantastic, clean, fresh, and healthy! However, their business hours are TERRIBLE...it's like they're trying to go out of business. Literally more often than not they're closed. They're closed all weekends and dinner times. They'd have so much more of my business if they were actually opened for business.

We love Zen Bento and were so excited when they went back to be open till 6:00 Tuesday-Friday. But just be aware they stop answering the phone at 5:45 even though your order only takes 10 minutes. I was disappointed today. They answered at 5:43 today- I heard murmuring and then they hung up. Called again till 5:50, stopped by at 5:55. Of course they were gone but I had to see for myself.
It's good, they BBQ the meat outside, the brown rice is hearty. Service was about 10 minutes. I'll go back.

Excellent fresh, healthy, nourishing, yummy food but extremely skimpy on the sauce. More often than not, the rice is dry. I would give 5 stars if they offered adequate sauce outside of having to pay extra for what should come with the meal.

Been going to Zen since they started downtown in a literal hole in the wall. Now I pay 3 times as much and get like 4 pieces of chicken. Not going back.
