Tavern at the Lodge Reviews
We love this place! Dirk and Kim are a wonderful team and John and Mootsey round it out nicely! We love pizza night especially but their steaks and pasta are on point!
I’m a waitress here! When I say the food is amazing! It’s an understatement
We arrived around 3:00 PM, between lunch and dinner service, and dinner wasn’t scheduled to start until 5:00 PM. We thought we might have to wait, but the owner was incredibly kind and accommodating.
She told us they are from Sri Lanka and that in their culture, they don’t like to say “no” to their guests. Even though the kitchen wasn’t officially open for dinner yet, they happily prepared three shrimp curry rice dishes for us and even gave us two extra bowls...read full review

Tavern at the Lodge offers a cozy, hometown dining experience with a menu featuring European-inspired dishes and specials. The restaurant feels like a beautiful log cabin with a fireplace, also serving a variety of delicious desserts and breakfast options. This establishment is an ideal destination for families and couples seeking a romantic night out. The outdoor patio is a super enjoyable setting for dining, and the food is consistently delicious. Guests have enjoyed German Schnitzel, Hungarian Schnitzel, and various pasta dishes, all of which have been praised. The restaurant is known for its wonderful team, including the owner and chef, and their pizza nights are particularly popular. Visitors have also commended the excellent service, friendly atmosphere, and cozy setting, as well as the beautiful variety of menu items, including excellent French onion soup, ribeye specials, and lasagna. The schnitzel is top 5 and they have great German beer on tap. The pastas are fabulous and the french onion soup is a BIG winner. Schnitzels are also great and flavorful with enormous portions. The restaurant is homey and has a nice atmosphere. The "$35.00 special" shrimp alfredo came with 2 appetizers, an ample bowl of good vegetable soup & a salad. There was a nice garlic bread served with the pasta. A handsome St.Bernard who is the mascot of the Tavern at the Lodge made an appearance.
