Tried it for the first time today! The service was great. My boys were very impressed with the burgers flavor and want to go back already! Ordered Cowboy burger and fries.

I’m not one to complain about my food but today just made me lose my appetite for Jacks completely. I bit into my first burger and bit into something hard. I went to bite my second burger and again bit into something which I assume was bone because it extremely hard. I spit that piece out and went for another bite and AGAIN bit into a bigger and harder piece of bone ?! Not only did this happen to me but to my husband as well with his burger. To say the least, it was wasted money today. Disgusting, unappetizing, DISAPPOINTING. Definitely thinking twice before coming back.

Cute little diner! Waitress was super sweet, food was great, and they offer dogs “pup cones”! They’re the cutest mini cones with a little bit of ice cream and treats. Would recommend for 2 or 4 legged ?

Every time we are in boise we stop at Jacks for the best burgers!! Awesome onion rings and tater tops too! Service and staff are awesome! Make me feel like family. Highly recommended!

Food was good but I paid $4.24 just for a 32oz soda, That was crazy. I will get my soda somewhere else from now on.
Been there 4 times in the last 3 months and had excellent food and service. Times have changed, prices are up, no complaints. I’m from Caldwell, first experience was 40 years ago, back recently to this place, ! I crave the Ranch Burger..
The food was yummy but the service could've been better. They were out of the grilled cheese bread and made it hard to even get a grilled cheese with curtly fries. So I had to get a kids grilled cheese meal cause that's a different bread, with regular fries and then purchase curly fries seperately. To Me that was too much! Couldn't they just put the kids bread in an adult meal for me? I would've been ok with that. Anyways, it did taste good.

Usually a favorite, however as of this evening, not anymore. My bacon was damn near raw on my burger, it looked smashed, or stepped on (something you'd get from national chains during the rush times.) And the meat had a odd flavor. Whoever is cooking in the evening should be, maybe retrained. Sad to see it going downhill.

The public trys to support local businesses, but they are generally more expensive than the chains. Here, you either have to sit in your car or outside at a picnic table after you go in and get your own food. I didn't see any "carhops." It cost us $50+ for 3 burgers with fries.
