Best tamales I have ever had in my life. No joke, I challenge you to try them. Pork, Cheese and Jalapenos and Chicken all spectacular. The Barea melt in your mouth beef is my favorite. I probably spelled it wrong nevertheless it is spectacular. This is a full service store, deli and butcher market. This place makes my personal top 10 in Idaho

La Esperanza was located by Caldwell Walmart and recently relocated. Now there's a meat counter, dining area, grocery with fresh produce and their great bakery. The check out line was long and it took a long time. The service was friendly. The 3 stars was for the long wait.

Went on the day of epiphany, was super crowed, everyone buying their king bread, but every pastry was amazing, and the staff helpful and in good spirits, a fun visit!

I really want to give them more stars because I’ve always been a fan of their pan dulce and tres leches cake but their tacos are not good. I went in today and bought 2 carne asada tacos and 1 quesabirria taco. The quesabirria taco was good, I wish I had orders only quesabirria tacos and no carne asada. The carne asada tacos are $3!! That’s insane, especially because they are small and not good. The meat lacked flavor and tasted and looked old. The tortillas also did not look or taste fresh. The wait time is long too. I waited 20 minutes for my food and there was only one person who had ordered way before I did.

Love the new location, it's clean and spacious. The processes to pick up Christmas pre orders was well executed and organized. Esperanza's has the best tamales and they don't skimp on the ingredients. They are well worth the money. The Pan Dulce is always fresh and delicious.

I came to change from 5⭐ to only 1⭐I have been buying from this business for years and have always been satisfied but since they changed locations the customer service has been rock bottom. When he came to buy tamales it was always 3 to 4 dozen and on this occasion they were missing meat and the dough fell apart when touched. This last time I went in and they are very disorganized with their method of training the customer to collect.I hope I can change my opinion one day.

Very bad experience!!! First: very bad customer service. Second: I have never cared about the price of a dozen tamales because they usually taste good and WERE very good filled with meat or rajas, but this time I bought several dozen for Christmas and ALL the tamales came out very bad!!! Some very dry ones that fall apart and with a pittance of meat or chicken!!! Almost all of them ended up in the trash!Bad, bad experience! The tamales were dry, and had barely any filling. At first we thought it was just a couple of bad ones from all the dozens we bought, but as people kept opening them to eat, they realized it was mostly masa and just had to throw them away! Not enough meat, or chicken or even rajas... How disappointing!!! Just a total waste of money!!! Also their customer service is NOT the best, but that's something that one can overlook only IF the food is good, which in this case was not.
