“Disappointed after all the hype.”
I really wanted to love Hudson’s after hearing so many glowing reviews, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the expectations. The menu is extremely limited—no fries, no drinks beyond basic options, no lettuce, no tomato, no bacon, no customization. Just burgers. That could be fine if the burgers were incredible, but mine was dry and lacked flavor.
The staff was polite but in a rush, and the seating situation (counter only, very cramped) made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. Cash only in 2025 also feels a bit outdated. I appreciate tradition, but it felt more like stubbornness than charm.
Maybe it’s a nostalgia thing for locals, but as someone visiting for the first time, I left hungry and underwhelmed.
I don’t get it. This place was recommended to us by some friends and after trying it I have so many questions. This establishment acts like you are so lucky to be able to buy their burgers? They aren’t open for dinner hours—closing at 5:30? They don’t take credit or debit cards and instead send you to their ATM in the back where you get to pay a $2.50 fee? They don’t serve fries or chips or anything else with their burgers? They don’t have lettuce, tomatoes or mayo on their burgers? We left hungry and went around the corner to The Burger Doc and their burgers were better and their fries and Huckleberry milkshakes are amazing! This place is cheaper but you seriously get what you pay for.
Disgusting burger frozen meat no flavor my dog barley ate it after I spit it out
Best burgers in cda
This is a fun local place where you sit at the counter. They have good quality burgers at a reasonable price, you can get pickles or onions on the burgers. They have a couple of special sauces a hot mustard and a spicy ketchup. Go in and ask about the history of the place, 118 years, and family owned. They don't have fries, but they do have pies!
Quirky, loooong time hamburger joint. Lives up to it's reputation. Here's what we serve and that's what you get. Yes, there pie and coffee too.
Very cool spot. I don't get how it can be so good, and so simple and cheap. The menu is so simple it took me a second to order. I ordered the cheese burger with onion and pickle, and that was exactly what i got. Not even sauce on the bun. And it was delicious!! …and only $4. How? Great quality beef, I noticed. ~and they cut the pickle and onion fresh for you too. Right on the spot, made to order for each burger.
A classic! Double with cheese and pickles with spicy ketchup, you can't go wrong.
Simple, no frills, delicious hamburger! Seating is tight at the bar, but worth it!
