Do you remember the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, Hudson's can feel a little like that but in a good, funny way. Hudson's is a tiny, no frills, 5th generation icon of Coeur d'Alene. I don't think they've changed much if anything since starting in 1907. Basic, good hamburgers (straight up bun, patty, cheese, onion and tomato), selection of sodas, and pie. No fries, no nuevo-foody-twists, just the basics and its always packed!

Gets VERY busy around 11am as the start of the lunch rush. Come a little bit earlier to chat with the friendly staff, otherwise they are generally too busy to linger. Customers are also friendly and happy to strike up a conversation.
If visiting at/after 11am, be ready to stand and wait for seating.
Seating consists of a long bar with tall stools. You get to watch the food being made as you wait.
Small single stall restroom in the back.
Will take phone & to go orders for both burgers and pie.

Iāve been going to Hudsonās my whole life and look forward to it every year when my family visits. Today the woman working was not friendly whatsoever. We were told since we ordered to go that we couldnāt sit down even though there were seats now open. We wanted to sit down but it was full so we ordered to go. When seats became available we wanted to sit down and she said we could not stay. She was very rude to other customers as well. We only come when our family is in town and it was sad we couldnāt eat with them at the bar top. Hopefully this was just a one off situation!
