Agave Family Mexican Restaurant

Absolutely love this place. We can’t travel through this area without making a pitstop. Wonderful service, solid authentic Mexican food, and really nice, warm, calming atmosphere. Also the decorations for Christmas were absolutely delightful.

Stopped in for lunch. The menu had lettuce and cheese smeared inside. $14 for 1 cheese enchilada and 1 tamale plus beans/rice on their lunch special. The plate was literally bubbling from being microwaved to high and to long. The enchilada was tough and the tamale was dry. The waitress never smiled. The beans/rice was good. The chips and salsa were passable

The good first. Very cool building inside. Nice fireplace and good decor. The salsa and cabbage salad were great. I got the Agave special which was 4 shrimp and some mushrooms in a brown sauce. I do not recommend the special. The waitress was nice but very inexperienced and the wait for the food and the overall service was not good. I don’t know… I might try it again, just not on a Monday afternoon and I’d definitely order something else.

Unfortunately food was not very fresh. Chips stale. Dish lacking flavor. And it advertised fresh homemade tortillas, they are definitely mission brand store bought. Not good 😐
Our server was very nice and did a great job, and the atmosphere was nice. Beautiful fireplace in the middle of building. Nicely decorated.

We used to love this place but they change the food we just had the molcajete this last time that we went and the meet was spoiled and was missing some of the stuff that we are used to getting like the cheese or the onions and the shrimp was burn and it taste horrible me and my husband got stomach sick so just watch out we pay for everything we bought but end up leaving everything never coming back

This was such a great place to eat. The chips and salsa were delicious, the portion sizes were plentiful, and the atmosphere was great. We loved sitting outside on the porch enjoying the breeze under the shade. The food was wonderful, and we definitely want to come back again someday.
