I have had the sushi several times, and it was always amazing. The service was also extremely nice.

Ordered the poke bowl. Left hungry. Menu says 13.5 oz. There was nothing 13.5 oz about it. Also, the menu shows $15. They tried charging me $15.60. Very average to poor poke.
I could not get over the sound of a microwave (?) continually dinging slightly before warm food exited the kitchen. I am not sure if all their hot food is microwaved, but it seemed as so with unevenly warm food. Even my toddler said “momma beep beep”
The raw sushi was good. Was very very quiet and echoed any noise! Might encourage some music in the place!

My wife and I tried Kingfisher today for the first time based on the reviews.
Located off Eagle on Rivershore Dr., opposite Riverside Dr., it took us a few minutes to find it. It is located next to Happy Teriyaki but the signage is so minimal. There is a small sign on the door, otherwise I did not see any other.
As has been detailed by other reviewers, it is a small restaurant, with only a handful of basic wooden tables inside and two half picnic tables outside. Very plain decor, no ambience. Fortunately, we are retired and came on a Friday shortly after they opened at 11. There was only one other couple dining in, and a lone man came a little later.
We were helped by a nice young Caucasian man who provided good service. The only thing was, he clarified both my order and my wife's, but still made a mistake on one of her sushi rolls, though he realized right when he brought it out and returned with the right order fairly quickly.
The first thing I appreciated was the prices. I ordered a rainbow roll for $12 and a spicy tuna roll (10 piece) for $8. That is very reasonable! My wife ordered a crunchy roll and another roll. We thought the rolls were very good and high quality.
Kingfisher gets great reviews on both Yelp and Google. For now, this is our go-to sushi spot (we are new to the Treasure Valley and still exploring).

Wow. I’m impressed! Happened to read about this place. Not a drive by, but a destination sushi place. Hard to find with just a low-key sign on the door. Simple decor. The sushi is very reasonably priced and tasted fresh. Service was excellent and sushi orders come up very quickly.

Server was great, did her job, however we ordered and didn’t get our food til almost an hour and 45 minutes later. We were a party of 5. Several pickup orders went out the door before us, and two men sitting next to us who ordered at the same time got their food and left. Food was amazing, per usual, but the wait time really sucked. Still suggest it, just don’t come.. in a big group?

So happy to have discovered Kingfisher Sushi recently. The selection of food is excellent, friendly service and excellent prices. The various platters are a great deal. The other night three of us split a $30 platter and it was plenty of food. The inside seating isn't huge and can be loud but there's a few tables outside, which is nice. The picnic tables inside have been replaced, which allows for more space. This is an excellent spot for sushi if you live in Eagle, Garden City or NW Boise.

Food was great. Really good sushi. Atmosphere said you should probably get it to go. No music or ambience. Service was ok but guy had earbuds in so couldn’t hear us. We’ll be back but for takeout only.
Updated service cause the girl taking care is was great!

The service was great! The variety of sushi was great too. Definitely the best sushi I’ve had in a long time and for an amazing price. I was surprised how slow it seemed to be, they deserve more business!
