This place is awesome small and quaint. Fish was very fresh. Nice, healthy slices and good service. It’s not fast food. It takes a minute to get it because they’re making it right. we enjoy it here and we believe that whoever tries it would enjoy it as well. Quality fish, quality food quality service. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

First thing to keep in mind is this place is very small. Only 4 half picnic benches and rail seating. The small room echoes a lot so it gets really LOUD. With that being said, the service was GREAT. The host/server was very attentive and friendly. The food is excellent! We only had a few of the options but we really liked what we ordered. The poke bowl was my favorite!! I only had two sushi experiences in Boise, but this is the better choice!!

Went based on the number of reviews. Food quality and portions were very good. Did order additional rolls and after a 45 minute wait, they arrived. Very apologetic waitress. LWatched at least 12 people leave rather than wait. All tolled, an hour and 45 minutes for sushi.

Giant delicious surprise! Tucked into the middle of a hidden strip mall off Eagle Road the search for Kingfisher is worth it. I loved the Sushi! The atmosphere is underwhelming but that's ok, because the star of the show is the food. Don't hesitate!

Simple and delicious! How did I miss this place? They even caught an error on my order and then offered me the extra roll. Thank you! I will be back and bring friends.

Very fresh fish! Hidden gem, worth a shot! The menu is limited, but this contributes to the freshness of the seafood, which is critical all the way out here in Idaho.

Very small and intimate restaurant that makes up for its size in its food and service. Plenty of sushi rolls to choose from without the menu being overwhelming like some other restaurants. The sushi was great, the beer was cold, and the sake was hot. We had a great experience and have found our new go-to sushi joint.

The Poke bowl selection is two. Boring AF. You only get to pick two fish from a very short list. Very limited selection of sushi. And it was nothing special. One grade above gas station sushi. Service was good. Fast as to be expected for this type of food. No complaints there. Ah. The ambiance. Let's just say a Greyhound bus station has more ambience than this place. Uncomfortable picnic table bench seating. It's a small place.

Absolutely the freshest sushi in Idaho. Great service and great food. I have had sushi all over the country and would put this in the top three. So 100% the top in Idaho.

Great sushi!! We have been here a couple times now & loved each time. Small but quiet and best of all- each sushi roll we tried was super fresh and tasted great.

King Fisher sushi is amazing! We got 4 signature rolls, and 4 pieces of Salmon Nigiri with a 20% tip came out to $69 even. The service as great, we only interacted with one person and he was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is VERY small and the tables are these little wooden picnic tables which feel nice and homey. Our favorite sushi spot BY FAR is Island Sushi and Ramen, but King Fisher definitely gave them a run for their money... let's say we have 2 favorite spots now! (also if you like salmon as much as i do, the salmon was very fresh and had an amazingly firm texture while still being fatty and buttery!) Our ONLY small gripe is that the ginger seemed to be a little old, kinda dry and not very pungent, but that's all i could think of!

It might be a tad hard to find...in between Happy Teriyaki and The Roost, but it is WORTH the hunt! The poke bowls are our favorite, and our sons love the shrimp tempura bowl. Their ingredients are so fresh and crisp, and their fish is the freshest we've found in the area. Service is always so timely and friendly, too. We can't recommend Kingfisher enough!!
