Nice place, great personable staff (Walter gets a 9) and we had the best beer. Left with a growler. (PS: no such thing as a 10)

This was the single handedly most exhilarating experience in my entire life. I was left utterly and completely flabbergasted, I have never had service of such caliber in my entire life , also the beer is phenomenal. If you get the opportunity to try it I would definitely recommend it. By the way if you want to beat the crowds come in mid week and try all the beer 10/10 would come again. Not only where the staff quirky and friendly, they went out of their way and literally helped me change my flat tire, I am forever greatfull and will be coming back for years to come.

Very sad to see that Powderhaus is for sale. We can literally walk here from our house and have always had a good time. They do the best events here. Their Oktoberfest and Xmas markets have always been fun. The outside area is also really nice in the summertime. Hopefully, if they do get acquired, the new owner will keep these events! The beer is just okay though. First Sights isn't that unique, which is fine, but at least it's still drinkable.

Nice place to relax with a good beer!

Not only is this my favorite brewery in the Boise area, but it’s my favorite beer as well! This place is the perfect balance of down to earth and casual but still lively and pleasant. Excellent place to hang out with friends, and the outdoor area is very kid friendly if you want to bring the whole family. The beers are all wonderful. And the people who work there are the friendliest, most authentic guys in town. Please never change!

I went in with a large group from work (20+) most of the group is in their 50's... the bartender was rude to the first few people he talked to who asked very basic questions(I was not one of them. At that point I didn't order anything. You would think 20 people come into your establishment that it's good for business. Apparently not. I'd rather spend my money where it's appreciated.

Great brewery. Fast and friendly service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bar seating. Flights available with 5 beers for $15 USD.

Haven't been to Powderhaus for about 2 years and thought I would give it another try as they were advertising $3 happy hour beers. Turned out that was only on their lager, and had to buy food from the food truck to get the price. So instead ordered a beer off the menu, showed it at $6.50 and $8 (I presumed for pint or 20oz). He poured the beer and then told me $10.50. Said it was because it was nitro. Then rang it up and told me $11.05. I then saw it was just a tulip so asked for my money back and to just cancel the beer. He was nice enough to refund my money and kept apologizing, saying it was his 2nd week, so I don't blame him. Hopefully the owner will do a better job in the future with onboarding...so critical.

I want to start by saying how much of a wussy Gary S is. If you don't like people exercising their 2nd amendment right to bear arms, and exercising there right to open carry under Idaho State legislature 18-3302, you should move to somewhere like California Gary. Anyways, place is super nice and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be returning!

The best brewery in Boise as far as I'm concerned, but I gravitate towards German style beer. I originally visited this brewery years ago specifically because of their dill pickle beer, the Gherkin Gose. I figured if they were daring enough to make a beer like that, which is one of their flagship beers, the other beer must be great as well. I was not disappointed. There are so many beers on tap that could be considered flagship. The atmosphere and the design of the building is fantastic. They also have live music every weekend as well as food trucks. The bartenders are great as well.

I've been visiting Powderhaus since it opened and have been impressed with the quality of the beer. However on a recent visit the bartender, who I have seen there many times, was openly carrying a pistol. That is not my idea of "a warm inviting Alpine atmosphere" as advertised on their website. In fact, it made me very uncomfortable and less likely to come back when I have many other choices in the area for a tasty beer. Is Mark, the owner, encouraging this kind of public display of a firearm by an employee?

Great place to stop and get beer. Outside area to sit as long as weather is good with a fire pit. Inside has a great setting and comfortable. You can reserve the backspace for birthdays, weddings, celebration of life. Unfortunately there's no food but you can bring your own or general there will be a food truck once in and live music on weekends Friday mainly.

Inside out: ample parking and easy to get in and out of. The space is large and well decorated.Service: friendly bartenders with excellent recommendations.Over all: they had a performer the night we went who was a very talented bard, he could play six instruments most of which were unusual. I've never heard a kazoo used more efficiently! I had a great time catching up with an old friend and meeting a new one, a great place to grab a drink with a friend and enjoy some live music when they have it.

Fantastic experience, totally swamped for St. Pat's, but solid friendly service, incredible selection seem to always be there. Add the music and Crisp food truck and it becomes a great time!

What a magical place. My heart hasn't felt warmer than this place in a long while. I'm surprised more of their beers aren't spread around town! What a gem of a place, and I haven't been until now!
