We found The Local by just doing a Google search. We are always looking for great local restaurants everywhere we go, and The Local did not disappoint.
We love the atmosphere and the fact that they have a dog-friendly patio.
We started with the Bavarian Pretzel. The mustard had a nice little kick. The Pretzel was warm and soft on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside.
Off their menu, we ordered the Mac & Cheese and added bacon and chicken. Absolutely amazing. If you're looking for a great comfort food dish, their mac & cheese is the way to go.
We also ordered the turkey and brie sandwich. We changed it up a little adding bacon and putting it on sourdough. It was the perfect combo of savory and sweet with the blackberry compote.
For our beverages, we went with an Arnold Palmer *Fresh lemonade* so refreshing! We also tried their canned cocktail, New Fashion Orange Ginger Whisky. Also light and refreshing.
We've added this place to our list of Boise-Town favorites and can't wait to bring our dogs back.

The Local is always a special treat. I absolutely love it here. We always order the baked brie; it's the best in town. The service has always been top notch, which makes the experience even better. They also have a charming covered patio, which makes for a great dining atmosphere. There are usually several dogs out there when we visit, which we love!

Driven past many times without stopping in, but pleasantly surprised to know I made a good restaurant find after. Personable service rounds out the pleasant brunch experience of clam chowder (3.5 stars) and a sandwich (4 stars) with passably good coffee.

I had a work lunch with my business partner Rudy. we both had the Prime Rib Dip. it was phenomenal!!!! It also came with a side of the tomato basil soup that was made from scratch and delicious. I wish that I could show a photo, but it was so good that I ate every last morsel.
The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the staff is very friendly. I'll be back, but next time I will bring more friends!

The only reason I didn’t give every category 5 stars was because I added more salt to my food and parking was a little limited. Overall though, great portions, attractive presentation, professional service, and everyone was very happy with their meals. Most of the meals were between 10-30 dollars and had good portions.
