When you first walk in The Red Shoe Tavern just looks like a bar, but don't let first impressions fool you. This place is an excellent restaurant. We were lucky enough to eat here twice. Both times we had excellent service, cocktails and meals. My sister and I split the rib-eye dinner this time. The steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and the baked potato was delicious with cheese, bacon, green onion and a generous amount of sour cream on the side. Great cocktails and dinner was amazing. I ordered the ribeye, my sister ordered the salmon and our friend ordered the chicken fried steak. The cook manning the grill did an amazing job with the steak and fish. Beautiful char, and both the fish and steak were moist and cooked perfectly. Baked potato were more like twice baked and were delicious. Our friend really like the chicken fried steak, but the star was the potatoes and gravy. Staff was friendly and attentive. Really good burgers and steak. Great to have a drink and love hearing the live music. Owner is usually working his business and is a fun individual also. Go check it out if your in town.
