The rating scared me. I don't want to over pay and get food poisoning. Cheers gents!

There isn't a no star option, so 1 it is. We walked in and it was about half full with customers. We sat down and were never welcomed or acknowledged. We had to go up and requests menus, then flag down the waiter/bar tender just to place an order (We should have taken this as a sign and walked out). We ordered two cheese burgers and a salmon plate (one of the only GF items on the menu), and it took way too long to make. The burgers were cold, the fries burnt, and the salmon plate was sad. The prices were outrageous for what we received, and had to go up to the counter to pay since the waiter/ bar tender just ignored us. One of the worst restaurant/ bar experiences I've had. I can with out a doubt say I will not be going back.

Food was way overpriced and the service was even worse. I had to walk over to the server and ask him for menus. The food quality and serving size was worth half of the listed menu price. I would not return to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone. The server had next to no desire to serve our table at all. He most definitely paid more attention to any other customer than our table during the entire stay.

Really good burgers and steak. Great to have a drink and love hearing the live music. Owner is usually working his business and is a fun individual also. Go check it out if your in town.

Had a birthday dinner tonight and must say I was disappointed. Mediocre food, no a/c and took for ever to get drink and served. Maybe at the most 20 people sitting at the bar and tables and 2 servers/bartenders appeared to be overwhelmed. I had country fried steak.. Steak was too coated with batter and over cooked , the mashed potatoes lacked about 2/3s the gravy and was served in a separate bowl.. The fried egg should have been called hard boiled. I don't think the chief was on top of things. I know thing are tough and I certainly will give them the benefit of the doubt but come on. Simple food with a tad bit of quality control goes a long ways. My dining companion had overcooked salmon and there is nothing worse than spending bucks on a mediocre piece of over cooked dry salmon. Sad that this place has gone downhill from when I used to eat there and it was many many times. I wish them well but I suggest the cook takes lessons. Flavors were good but flies were bad.. C grade at best

When you first walk in The Red Shoe Tavern just looks like a bar, but don't let first impressions fool you. This place is an excellent restaurant. We were lucky enough to eat here twice. Both times we had excellent service, cocktails and meals. My sister and I split the rib-eye dinner this time. The steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and the baked potato was delicious with cheese, bacon, green onion and a generous amount of sour cream on the side. Our friend had the fish and chips. The servings of both the fish and the French fries was very generous. He reported that the batter was light and crisp and the fish was sweet. I would definitely recommend The Red Shoe Tavern for both drinks and dinner, and if I'm back in the area I'll visit again.

Great cocktails and dinner was amazing. I ordered the ribeye, my sister ordered the salmon and our friend ordered the chicken fried steak. The cook manning the grill did an amazing job with the steak and fish. Beautiful char, and both the fish and steak were moist and cooked perfectly. Baked potato were more like twice baked and were delicious. Our friend really like the chicken fried steak, but the star was the potatoes and gravy. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back again.

We stumbled across this place and are so happy we did! I believe our server/bartender was Josh. He was as kind as could be. We got Fish and Chips and potato skins. We weren't looking for healthy - we wanted good food. OMG! I have never in my 67 years had better fish and chips! I have no idea what they do to those fries, but we ate every last one of them - and I'm not normally a fries eater! Fish was perfectly breaded and cooked. Skins had everything exactly how I like them. Add a couple margaritas and we had a great night! If you're in Hailey and looking for a real hometown, no frills (it was hot in there!) place with great food and nice people...Red Shoe Tavern is the place to go!

The food was excellent. Was here two nights in a row because of the friendliness of the servers and the promise of a strawberry shortcake parfait which was AMAZING. It was made with fresh baked pound cake, fresh stewed strawberries and homemade whipped cream. Had chicken fried steak that was very crispy and tender. The servers offered suggestions for beers and drinks and were knowledgeable. Live music was fun and played recognizable, singable songs. An excellent place to visit.

A must stop for a cocktail and food. Scott, the owner is a great friendly guy. Great prices all around and the only bar in Hailey open on Sunday
