Took 50 min for my food. Don’t mind it being busy but hate when it’s busy and employees have no urgency. Why does it take 3 people 5+ minutes to make each sandwich. Also when is 3 pepperchinis enough for a foot long sandwich? They didn’t even put them on either, just threw 3 tiny pepperchinis in a bag. Upsetting… food was good tho. Update… just found out the whole sandwich feeds 3 people, so you’re saying you’re giving 1 pepperchini per person? $20 with tip for a sandwich I expect it to have an adequate amount of pepperchinis.

The employees are always SO nice and pleasant! It makes the whole environment such a nice comfortable place. The food is also outstanding!! Really fresh and delicious, definitely the best sandwich around!

Love, love, love! My family and I have nothing but amazing things to say about The Local Deli! First, the staff has always been so wonderfully friendly. We went in today, and even though almost every table was taken, and there was a line practically out the door, the staff was fabulous and friendly. Our sandwiches were made with love and care, to perfection. My husband and I are obsessed with the Rathdrum Club, and my brother loves the Coeur d'Alene. The food has always been fresh and just darn right delicious. The bread alone..OHMYGOSH!🩷🩷😋 They have an array of drinks and snacks too! Oh! And for those who like a beer with their food, they have an awesome selection of local and domestic beer! Absolutely love this place, as do many people in our community! It's worth the wait if there's a line. We'll be back time after time!🥰

I paid $15 for a byo turkey sandwich with sprouts and this is what I got. The quality has drastically declined since the new owners!!! Won’t be back again.

Delicious turkey and cranberry sandwich. Big portions for a reasonable price. Pleasant waitstaff and nice ambiance. Highly recommend.

Had no idea about this place. Found it on google. I got the Italian, EXCELLENT. Chocolate chip cookie, EXCELLENT. Customer service, EXCELLENT. Definitely making this a regular spot.

Awesome deli! A lot of options and great food! Clean and great atmosphere! I got "The Local", full size sandwich and it was very good.

Kid-friendliness: Sandwich, chips, and a drink combo. Big sandwiches for the kids. Make your own option.

The food is second to none. Really great menu and really fresh ingredients and I will contract come here and recommend it for the food for sure.
Here are two things that prevent a 5 star review:
- there are really no tables for a single person or a couple. All the tables have seating for four or more. This means that the few tables get occupied quickly by singles and couples and at lunch it can be awkwardly crowded needlessly.
- the most disappointing thing here is simply that the counter service is PAINFULLY SLOW. I’ve never seen so many people moving about so much and accomplishing so little behind any deli counter as this place. Of course I’m from a larger city (Denver) and the vibe of the city is busy and fast, but these young people need to find the drive gear and put the foot on the gas when it comes to a lunch crowd if working class people.
Nobody has time to wait 20 mins for a menu item sandwich. Please learn to direct that energy into a better system of food prep.
Your offerings are truly delicious. Perhaps it’s the phone in orders that kill your kitchen momentum? In any case, it’s always a painful wait for lunch when a guy needs to get back to work.

Come and eat, but come to stay for a while.

When my local Firehouse Subs closed down, I was heartbroken. By a wonderful quirk of fate, I stumbled upon The Local Deli and I'm in LOVE! WOW! I ordered a full sandwich thinking I could have it for a meal the next day along with a side salad but the sandwich was MASSIVE and I ate it for three days! Next time I'll know to only get a half. Ingredients are really fresh, tasty, delish and restaurant is very clean. Staff was so sweet and super helpful! Definitely my new favorite! Highly recommended!
