There were 3 of us, my cousin, my daughter ( 11 years old and special needs) and myself. We all three got ice cream which was very good. Worth a review and worth going for. My cousin ordered hot dogs for us a sarsaparilla for us. The hot dogs were a trocious. The buns where hard and the dogs over cooked and flavor not good. I honestly couldn't believe they were actually being served. And when I said something I was given another bun. Literally another bun. I asked if the sarsaparilla was imitation or real. We were told it was real. It wasn't. And it was very very week.Buy the ice cream but stay away from the food ECT.

The location is beautiful. If you have never visited Idaho City, I highly would recommend doing so with your next free Saturday. Its a beautiful drive and many fun activities; including Sarsaparilla Ice Cream Parlor. The selection of ice cream available is as small as it can get before complaints arise, but I promise every flavor is delicous. I got a cone, my dining partner had a cup. Both were equally large and worth the drive. They advertise as a gift shop also but there was nothing of note. The staff was incredibly friendly and loves visitors.

Great place! The workers are always friendly and the ice cream is always good. If you go, you'll have to try the huckleberry ice cream.

Not sure how I’ve lived in Idaho my whole life and never stopped here while visiting Idaho City but we finally did yesterday and it was great! The place is adorable and very clean. The ice cream was delicious and the girl who was working yesterday with the awesome red nails (didn’t catch her name) was super nice! We will definitely be back!

If you want what is easily the best ice cream in Idaho City, you better stop at Sarsaparilla! Between the classic and funky flavors, and the homemade waffle cones, you're bound to have a peak ice cream experience
Used to love this place. They've done away with the gift shop. No more waffle cones made in cast iron waffle makers. No more bubble gum balls in the bottom of the cones. And no more Sioux City Sarsaparilla. ?. Another great place gone.
