Some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Looked like they used leftover fish on their nigiri.
Lovely place, clean, nice service, super yummy food. They play EDM music, which I wasn't a fan of but it wasnt loud. Fish tank could use a clean!

There was a time when I really enjoyed Blue Hashi but the last 3 times I've been there I've been disappointed in their food. I gave it 2 stars because the service was and always has been good. It's the food that's really changed.
First off, the rice just seemed stale, like rolls that have been prepared and set out for hours. Grocery store sushi came to mind. And not to soil grocery store sushi, because some of it is actually decent. I mean the cheaper stuff; you know what I mean.
Second, the amount of fish you get on the rolls seems to be far less than what's expected, especially for the price; this is one of the most expensive sushi restaurants in town. Don't get me wrong, there can definitely be too much fish, but that's a totally different problem.
The other issue, which has the lowest impact but nonetheless needs to be brought up is the appearance and upkeep. The chairs all have almost all of the paint missing, the walls have holes, base boards chipped away, and then there's the cups. The plastic cups you get for beverages, look like they've been dropped on the rim countless times. They're all so badly chipped and jagged. It's one of those small details that carries a lot of weight. And considering how seemingly affordable it would be to replace the cups, it says a lot.
I want to make it clear, I like this place. I want it to be good and I want it to succeed. I've shared plenty of great nights with my wife and family here and the wait staff and generally all round service is and always has been great. I'm leaving this review in the hopes that this place changes and gives it's customers what they pay for; the most expensive sushi in town (average roll is $16-$18). Hopefully this helps, you know, constructive criticism.

Great food and service.
The fried calamari was great and so was the unagi nigiri.
The hostess was very accommodating and answered the questions I had about different menu items.

Loved everything about this place! The sushi was delicious, the portions were perfect, and the flavors were spot on. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Easily one of my new favorite sushi restaurants — I’ll definitely be returning!

Absolutely amazing sushi! The Lotus roll is to die for. The fish was super fresh, the rolls were packed with flavor, and everything came out beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was on theme and welcoming. Definitely one of the best sushi spots I’ve been to — can’t wait to come back!

This place is an absolute joke. I don’t know how a restaurant expects to stay open when they refuse to answer their to-go phone… ever. I’ve called so many times I practically know their ringtone by heart, and not once has anyone picked up. If they don’t want customers, they’re doing a fantastic job.
And the customer service? Somehow even worse. Walking in feels like interrupting a group of people who hate their jobs and want you to know it. Zero greeting, zero effort, zero care. The vibe is basically, “Why are you here?”
The sushi is forgettable, but honestly the terrible attitude and complete lack of basic communication make it impossible to enjoy anything. There are plenty of sushi spots run by people who actually act like they want customers—go literally anywhere else.

Restaurantji Recommends
Love this place. Amazing sushi blunts rolled up by the dopest staff and the atmosphere is hella chill. I highly recommend Blue Hashi for a quick bite it’s definitely one of the heavy hitters when it comes to ones to sushi in Idaho Falls.

Barely had any fish in my sushi rolls and the pieces of salmon on my nigiri were so thin and small I was shocked they’d even sell nigiri like this. Rolls and nigiri were 90% rice. It was terrible and not worth the money. Felt like I wasted my money and will never go back. Wish I would have gone anywhere else. Spent $30 on sushi and it was not worth it. If you wanna have sushi that is just rice, go here. If you want actual sushi with seafood in it or on it, go anywhere else.

Waited 45 minutes at a table for a sushi roll then asked if they had even started they said no and i walked out. Would not recommend for lunch. Hostess had me seated within 5 min restaurant was only 1/2 full had a drink from hostess immediately then waitress came around and it all went downhill from there.
