Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had at a bar in a long time. The atmosphere at The Blue Wave was perfect—relaxed but lively, with just the right vibe for a great night out. But what truly made the evening unforgettable were Murphy and Karen.
Murphy was behind the bar, and he was an absolute pro—friendly, fast, and knew exactly what to recommend. His cocktails were perfectly balanced and full of flavor. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed what he was doing, which made the whole experience that much better.
Meanwhile, Karen was in the kitchen absolutely crushing it. Every dish that came out was delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a bar where the drinks and the food are equally amazing, but Karen and Murphy make it happen.
If you’re anywhere near The Blue Wave, do yourself a favor and stop in. And if Murphy’s bartending and Karen’s cooking—you’re in for a great night!

Burger was horrible. Burger was so dry and over cooked, and tossed on a bun that was way, way over toasted, was smashed flat, dry and greasy. The lettuce,onions and pickles were not any better. It was over 10 bucks. Should have refused it all and left. Smoothed it in fry sauce, ate some and left. Took forever and we thought it would be good. Wrong. Sad. The Blue Room used to be a goto. The Blue Wave is not even close. And the table was sticky. Gross.

The Holy Grail of dive bars, a veritable Nirvana!!! The people that work here are phenomenal, super personable and great skill set. This is a beer and shot burger place that caters to the social elite of Idaho Falls, pillars of society. The big cheeseburger and Frisco are my go to burgers.

4-22-25. Service was horrible. The cows behind the bar were more concerned about talking to a few drunk guys than helping someone sitting at the bar…. That had already call my order in. More or less last time I will go in there. The owner needs to get something done!

This establishment is in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. The current state of the place is simply grotesque. Also, the waitresses are inattentive and need to get their crap together. A lot of standing around when they could actually serve customers or at the very least wipe down tables. We waited around for help and it was obvious they were ignoring us. This place has gone down hill. I can't say if it's good food because we didn't get any service. We ended up walking out. Get better service.

3/10/2025-The hours on the website show open until midnight. However the 2 working women there just couldn’t wait until we left at 11pm. We flew in from Colorado and the front desk at our hotel recommended this place. So we got an Uber to go across town to try this OPEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT place. We arrived at 10pm. They were nice at first, but once it turned 11pm, they were anxious to get out of there! Stacked all the chairs, turned off the music, and some of the lights. One girl put her coat on and kept looking outside the door. If I knew they were going to rush us out, we would have NEVER wasted our time going! I will NOT go back.
