Unbelievable pie and super cool space. We met the owner, didn’t catch his name, and he was the kindest and most welcoming gentleman. Such a great small family business that has been there forever. I love supporting folks like him.

Amazing European style pastries. Great selection, delicious, quick pick up. There is no place to sit down inside to enjoy though.

Wonderful bakery, great service, and most importantly their food is delicious. I only wish I’d found them earlier in our trip.

This is an old bakery here in Idaho falls. I have been wanting to try it for awhile. We ordered a couple of items.1.) lemon cream cheese Danish. This was really good. I would definitely get it again.2.) cinnamon thing with a nutmeg crumble. This was kind of like a flattened on purpose cinnamon roll. It was sweet, the cinnamon flavor was light and I didn’t taste nutmeg at all.3.) chocolate eclair, this has been refrigerated for a while. The outside is hard. The inside is nice. The vanilla cream tasted really nice. This was a big eclair. This is not a sit down bakery. The selection was less than I was expecting, but there was a selection.

Parking: Not really ADA accessible. It is street parking with a curb, although the crosswalk has a ramp.

Carsten’s Bakery is charming and incredibly delicious!! It is one of the best kept secrets in Eastern Idaho! This German bakery is utterly delightful and totally unique! If you are a foodie it would be well worth the trek or a side trip to try the outstanding pastries, cookies, cakes and other treats here.(I am always astonished that even people who have lived in the area for years have never visited or even heard of it!)This is one of those lovely family-run businesses that uses recipes, over 100 years old, that were passed down by their grandfather Willi, a master baker who trained in Germany. Do try to get there early because at times by noon they will be running low or out of popular items!Their raisin cookies are unique and delicious—sweet raising filling gently encase in sugar cookie dough and baked to crisp perfection. I also love their cheese Danish, it’s not overly sweet and the dough that is soft and pillowy. The bagels are also slightly crisp on the outside and chewier than most bagels, I like them with cheese. The chocolate chunk cookies are to die for and the donuts, cream horns, and cream puffs are marvelous as well! You may as well pick up a pie or a loaf of homemade bread while you are there as well! The service is always friendly, efficient, and you’ll feel right at home! Do give them a try!

The best pastries in town! Not super sweet like other places. I had a mini hive cake today and I think I just died and went to heaven. Soooo delicious. Love the kringles, danishes and everything.

If you want a maple bar, get there when they open because no joke people line up for these donuts! The Huckleberry will melt in your mouth. They are worth every penny! Cute little shop, it is small, so I dont recommend hauling your whole family in with you if it is busy, but it gives me the old shop feel, so I really enjoyed being there. Friendly welcoming people working here. Loved it!

Delicious every time.

It seems like this place has lost some quality in the last few years. The brownies are still really good, but other items aren't as good as they used to be. I really want to give this place 5 stars, but I don't think the quality earns it.
