Grandpa's Southern BBQ

Amazing atmosphere. It is like being at my grandpas. I expected the meat to be awesome- but it does not compare to the Texas barbecues. Do not expect anything- just go without all of the expectations. For this area- the brisket was melting delicious; but the spare ribs and the chicken were dry.

Drove 70 miles to try it out on a Saturday. At 2:30 in the afternoon there was a sign on the door. Closed Ran Out of Food. If we ever get to taste any food I’ll let you know.

Meager portion size for a 9 dollar sandwich. Briskit on a kids hamburger bun. Extra grissely too

Amazing meal, and the owners are amazing people, real genuine people with fantastic food! Could not be more pleased. Depending on the flow of customers, it may be a tad slow if you are in a hurry call ahead and see how busy they are. Remember, good food isn't fast and fast food isn't good.

We came almost closing time and about to close but the girls offer us food to go and it was great, the lady at the cashier super even gave me a tip to go to CRATERS OF THE MOON. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, WE WILL BE BACK SOON.

Finger licking good! I had the pulled chicken sandwich. Loved the sauce on that. My husband had the brisket sandwich ...also really good .. didn't even need sauce. My son had the Friday fried fish.....he said it was really good as well. The Mac and cheese was ok but I'm a bit of a Mac&cheese snob. Other than that we had great service. If they are busy it might take a little time to get ur food but it's worth it. Oh and btw....swamp water is Arnold Palmer! LoL.

I contacted Grandpa's about catering a celebration of life for my wife after the recommended caterer never responded to my calls. My family and I went to speak with Lloyd the owner about the menu when we were overcome by the most mouth watering aroma that turned our hunger signals on full throttle. We decided to sample the food for lunch and Brenda our server was an absolute gem. The food was outstanding and after sitting with Lloyd we settled on menu items and a price point. Lloyd and his company is the real deal when you want Southern bbq and hospitality.

Very poor service. One of the worst BBQ ribs I have had. Would not recommend, not worth the price or wait.

Great food. Expect to wait a few extra minutes. Wonderful Catfish and Sweet Potato Pie.
